Venom 3
Fans of the Venom movies have been waiting for a third installment for quite a while now. This upcoming movie has shifted release dates several times, with one previous announcement confirming a November 8 release date.
However, Venom 3 will now be released a little earlier than expected. You will be able to see the Tom-Hardy starring movie on October 25, 2024.
That’s not the only information that has been revealed. This sequel to 2018’s Venom and the 2021 follow-up Venom: Let There Be Carnage has been given its official title. The new installment in the Venom franchise is called Venom: Last Light.
What does the title mean? We have no idea at this stage but more will be revealed when story details emerge closer to the October release date.
Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor will star alongside Tom Hardy in the new movie, with Kelly Marcel, the writer of the previous Venom movies, making her directorial debut with this installment.
Production on the movie was previously halted by the SAG-AFTRA strike last year but as of late February, Juno Temple announced filming was finally coming to an end. When speaking about the movie with Variety, Temple said:
“It’s been a wild, wonderful ride. It’s so new to me. It’s a big set! This is crazy. It’s been so much fun and I got to work with such cool people. I’ve been so lucky in my career to just have the most incredible casts. I can’t wait for it to get out into the world. I think it’s going to be a good one.”
The character of Venom was last seen in the Spider-Man 2 video game where he was portrayed as more of a villain than an anti-hero. If you’re currently playing the game, check out our Boss Guide for tips on how to defeat him.
