Arise dear BL lovers because September might just be the gift that keeps on giving! From YinWar and OhmLeng making their return to the highly anticipated Korean BLs releasing this month, our schedule will be full and bustling.

The BL world is already buzzing from the Kidnap and Jack and Joker trailers. With 9 shows to enjoy this month, it looks like we are in for a treat. 

Without further ado, here are the Boy Love series dropping this month. What shows are you excited to watch this month?


Live in Love

Network: AIS Play, GMM 25, oneD, WeTV

Premiere date:  1st September

This Thai drama is set to have only five episodes and was adapted from the novel  “Live in Love” by Yeonim. The show is about Kla and Cake, and how their shared love for live-streaming helps them fall in love. 

 

Happy of The End  

Network: Yet to be announced

Premiere date: 2nd September

Adapted from the manga series “Happy of the End” by Ogeretsu Tanaka, this Japanese series follows Chihiro and Keito’s love story. After spending a drunken and eventful night with a stranger, Chihiro wakes up to the shocking discovery that he got married.

The man he married is none other than Keito and he is not a good man. However, Chihiro is currently homeless and living with Keito doesn’t seem like a bad idea.

 

Kidnap

Network: GMM 25, Netflix

Premiere date: 6th September 

This is one of the most anticipated Thai BL series of the year. It comes as no surprise since it is headlined by the talented duo, popularly known as OhmLeng.

The series follows Min as he struggles to raise funds to pay his ailing brother’s medical bills. He gets a job to kidnap a rich young boy, but things take a turn when his boss orders him to kill the young man.

Now, Min is no killer, so he lies that the job is complete and hides the young man in his house. However, what happens when the kidnapper and the victim fall in love? You will have to tune in to see this thrilling romance drama to find out!

Hidden Moon

Network: One 31

Premiere date: 7th September

This is a supernatural romance drama adapted from the novel “The Hidden Moon” by Violet Rain. The show introduces us to the spooky love story of Mas and Khen. Mas lives in a mysterious old house in the middle of the forest.

One day, Khen comes across the house and strikes up a relationship with Mas. However, the supernatural happenings and the dark secret surrounding the haunted house threaten to keep the lovers apart.

 

Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart!

Network: Channel 3, iQiyi

Premiere date: 9th September

We have been begging for the next YinWar project and it is finally here. Based on the trailer, we are in for some action, amazing visuals and one of the best enemy-to-lovers executions in the BL world.

In this series, we meet Joker played by the talented War Wanarat. Joker is like Robbin Hood, robbing the rich to feed the poor. He coincidentally meets the smouldering yet cold Jack. Even though Jack is a former substitute taekwondo turned debt collector, he likes to avoid violence. The two  collaborate on a heist, but will they make it out alive?

 

Love is Like a Poison  

Network: TBS

Premiere date: 10th September

This Japanese BL is also known as Doku Koi: Doku mo Sugireba Koi to Naru. It follows the story of Shiba Ryoma, one of the youngest co-partners at a major law firm. He randomly meets Haruto, a talented con man in a bar, and is tricked into believing that Haruto is a good person.

One thing leads to another and the two move in together and become secret partners. Haruto continues to keep his real identity a secret while helping Shiba unconventionally solve cases. As the two grow closer, Shiba starts falling for his loyal secret partner but has a hard time expressing it. A new challenge also comes their way when they arouse the interest of someone evil.

 

The Time of Fever 

Network: To Be Announced

Premiere date:  12th September 

This is a movie based on the second couple in the Korean BL, Unintentional Love Story. This movie narrates the story of childhood friends Ho Tae and Dong Hee. Initially, Ho Tae moved back to Gangneung from Seoul after his father’s death.

At the same time, Dong-he finally comes out to his family and moves out. He starts living with his first love, Ho Tae. As they live together, Ho Tae starts developing deeper feelings for his best friend and this shakes him.

In an effort to deny these feelings, Ho Tae starts recklessly dating girls and hurting Dong-hee’s feelings. Hong Tae and Dong Hee start to grow apart, but after an incident, they reunite and face their feelings for each other.

Love Sick

Network: Channel 9 

Premiere date:  14th September 

This is a high school-set drama that is adapted from the web novel “Love Sick: The Chaotic Lives of Blue Shorts Guys” by Latika Chumpoo. It will follow a few young men as they discover their feelings for each other in school.

 

Bad Guy My Boss

Network: Channel 8, ViuTV 

Premiere date:  15th September 

This boss-employee romance drama is set to introduce a new love team and we are so excited. The drama follows Pat, who secretly falls for his hot boss, Elis. The two start a romantic relationship, but should they have kept business and pleasure separate?
