September is almost here and with it, new K-dramas to binge! This month’s list includes Korean stars like Park Shin-hye, Lim Ji-yeon and Kim Jung-hyun returning to the small screen. There’s a variety of stories and genres to pick from, including a fantasy crime show, a cross-country love story and a slice-of-life show which interestingly has a talking dog!
Well, here are the upcoming K-dramas releasing in September 2024 so you can mark your calendars.
Seoul Busters
Release Date: 11th September
Lead Cast: Kim Dong-wook, Park Ji-hwan, Seo Hyun-woo, Park Se-wan, Lee Seung-woo
Where to Watch: Disney+
Plot: The nation’s lowest-ranking police squad (featuring the worst arrest rate) find their careers and their lives take a turn when the leader of the most elite crime team is put in charge of them. Expect plenty of crime-solving and rib-tickling shenanigans in this comedy-crime drama.
The Judge From Hell
Release Date: 21st September
Lead Cast: Park Shin-hye, Kim Jae-young
Where to Watch: SBS TV
Plot: Park Shin-hye returns to our screens, this time as Kang Bit-na, a demon who has been sent to Earth to punish criminals and damn them to hell. Kim Jae-young stars opposite her, playing a kind but sharp-minded detective named Han Da-on. This fantasy drama will bring the two together and you can find new episodes every Friday and Saturday from release.
To My Haeri / To My Harry
Release Date: 23rd September
Lead Cast: Shin Hae-sun, Lee Jin-uk
Where to Watch: ENA, Genie TV
Plot: This is a unique romance drama revolving around a female announcer who has been working in the industry for over 14 years. However, traumatic events lead to her developing dissociative identity disorder. The drama kicks off when she happens to meet her ex-boyfriend and the two begin to heal their wounds together. New episodes of this series will release every Monday and Tuesday.
Nonsense / Dog Knows Everything
Release Date: 25th September
Lead Cast: Lee Soon-jae, Kim Yong-gun, Im Chae-mu, Ye Su-jeong, Song Ok-suk

Plot: This offbeat drama revolves around a group of senior citizens and a former police dog named Sophie. The show’s lead is a veteran actor, who is forced to retreat to the serene Geoje Island due to an incident. Surprisingly, he finds that Sophie can actually speak to him. The more time he spends with her and his new companions on the island, the more he changes.
What Comes After Love
Release Date: 27th September
Lead Cast: Lee Se-young, Sakaguchi Kentaro
Where to Watch: Coupang Play
Plot: A cross-border romance, What Comes After Love follows Choi Hong, a Korean student who goes to Japan and falls for a man named Aoki Jungo. However, the relationship doesn’t last and they break up. Five years later, the two meet again but this time in Korea. Will things be different this time? Find new episodes of this drama every Friday from the date of release.
Gyeongseong Creature – Season 2
Release Date: 27th September
Lead Cast: Park Seo-joon, Han So-hee, Lee Moo-saeng, Bae Hyeon-seong
Network: Netflix
Plot: Season 2 of Gyeongseong Creature takes us all the way to 2024, where the mysteries from Season 1 continue to endure in present-day Seoul. Chae-ok is miraculously alive and ends up meeting a man named Ho-jae, who looks exactly like Tae-sang. But will they be able to put an end to the evil once and for all?
Iron Family
Release Date: 28th September

Plot: Lee Da-rim is the visually impaired, youngest daughter of a family that runs a laundry business. Seo Kang-joo is the son of a wealthy family who goes to the same university as her. The drama revolves around Da-rim’s family, whose lives turn around when they come upon an unexpected financial opportunity. This series is said to be a black comedy and a romance drama.
