The Korean entertainment industry continues to be on fire! New K-dramas are coming out nearly every week. Of course, the one series that everybody is waiting on tenterhooks for is none other than Song Hye-kyo’s revenge thriller The Glory. Part 2 of the show will be released later this month and you can find the details below.
While the rest of March doesn’t see much in the way of big Netflix or Prime releases, there are a few shows with some really intriguing premises, from period dramas to sci-fi thrillers. And any of them could be the next sleeper hit.
Here are the exciting new K-dramas releasing in March 2023:
Delivery Man
Release date: 1st March
Lead Cast: Yoon Chan-young, Bang Minah, Kim Min-seok
Network: Genie TV, Also available on TVING and Viki
Plot: This comedic fantasy drama revolves around a taxi driver whose customers are not the usual kind — they’re ghosts! And his ‘ghost-only’ taxi service is used to deliver the last wishes of these lost souls. Then one day he comes across a woman’s ghost who has lost her memory. Will they be able to find her last wish?
Divorce Attorney Shin
Release date: 4th March
Lead Cast: Cho Seung-woo, Han Hye-jin
Network: JTBC
Plot: Shin Sung-Han used to be a talented classical pianist and a music teacher in Germany but then suddenly changed tracks and worked to become a successful divorce lawyer instead. As he tackles divorce case after divorce case, he also works on a mysterious agenda — the reason he became a lawyer in the first place. Episodes of this legal melodrama will release every Saturday and Sunday at 22.30 KST.
Oasis
Release date: 6th March
Lead Cast: Chu Young-woo, Seol In-ah and Jang Dong-yoon
Network: KBS2
Plot: Oasis will take you back in time to the tumultuous period of the 1980s in South Korea. The drama follows the lives of three people — two boys and a young girl, who form a strong bond with each other. But the trio is soon faced with hardships that will turn their lives upside down forever. The series will air every Monday and Tuesday at 21:50 KST.
The Glory Part 2
Release date: 10th March
Lead Cast: Song Hye-kyo, Lee Do-hyun, Lin Ji-yeon
Network: Netflix
Plot: Tune into the second part of The Glory to watch Moon Dong-eun’s path of revenge get more intense than ever before. Featuring the same characters from Part 1, these 8 new episodes will tie up all the loose ends and conclude the story.
Pandora: Beneath The Paradise
Release date: 11th March
Lead Cast: Lee Ji-ah, Lee Sang-yoon, Jang Hee-jin, Park Ki-woong, Bong Tae-gyu
Network: tvN
Plot: Everybody envies Hong Tae-ra — her status, her wealth, her fame. But the ambitious woman soon finds memories of the past returning to her. And with them comes a terrible realisation and an insatiable need for retribution. This revenge drama will air every Saturday and Sunday at 21:10 KST.
Romantic Guest House
Release date: 20th March
Lead Cast: Shin Ye-eun, Ryeoun, Kang Hoon, Jung Gun-joo
Network: SBS TV, Available on Viki in certain areas
Plot: Set in the Joseon Dynasty, this series follows three men who become boarders at a woman’s guest house. Over time, they get to know each other and soon stumble upon a mystery about a person who disappeared 13 years ago.
Joseon Lawyer
Release date: TBA
Lead Cast: Woo Do-hwan, Bona, Cha Hak-yeon
Network: MBC TV
Plot: Another period drama but this one comes with the added charm of Woo do-hwan playing a lawyer set on the path of vengeance. While seeking revenge for the death of his parents, the lawyer slowly grows to care about his profession and the people around him. The tentative premiere date for the show is March 24th, with episodes airing every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m. KST.
Duty After School
Release date: TBD
Lead Cast: Shin Hyun-soo, Kim Ki-hae and Lim Se-mi
Network: TVING
Plot: In line with shows like All Of Us Are Dead, this series is set in a world plagued with sinister slime-like creatures that threaten human life. School students are then forced to serve in the military and fight these creatures as part of an extra-curricular activity. The sci-fi thriller should have 10 episodes and will release sometime in March.
