The genre of J-dramas is now seeing newfound glory after Netflix and Disney+, among other popular international streaming platforms, announced interesting titles that initially catapulted with shows like Alice In Borderland.

Being shorter than regular Korean or Chinese dramas, Japanese dramas are quick to watch with an average of 10 to 12 episodes per season. This month there are a large number of Japanese dramas releasing and they all come from different genres like romance, comedy, historical, mystery and thriller.

Plot: A complete drama based on the story released in theatres, the show follows the story of a Maritime Self-Defense Force submarine that collided with an American nuclear submarine and sank in the waters near Japan. Reports that all 76 people, including the captain, Shiro Kaieda, were killed are shocking. However, the crew members survived. The accident was a cover-up to have them serve on the Seabat, a high-performance nuclear submarine built in secret by the Japanese and U.S. governments. The Seabat became a member of the US fleet, and Kaieda, who boasted the best ship-handling ability of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, was appointed its captain.

House of Ninjas
