What is Twinkling Watermelon about?
The show narrates the story of a CODA (child of a deaf adult) student, Eun-gyeol who has hearing-impaired parents. He has a gift for music and is a model student by day who plays the guitar in a band at night. One day, Eun-gyeol visits a mysterious musical instruments store and travels to a strange place.
There, Eun-gyeol meets Lee Chan, Se-kyung, and Cheong-a who form a band called “Watermelon Sugar.” While this goes on, Lee Chan tries to pursue Se-kyung, who is known as the “Cello Goddess” of Seowon Arts High School
Where Can I Watch Twinkling Watermelon Season 1?
Twinkling Watermelon is a regular K-drama and will be available to watch on the network tvN for those in South Korea. The show will also be available to watch on the streaming platform Viki a few hours after its original release.
Do note that the show will be available on Viki with a valid subscription in limited regions and subtitles can take a while to be uploaded on the platform. Sometimes this can take up to 24 hours after release.
Twinkling Watermelon Episode 2 Release Date
Episode 2 of Twinkling Watermelon will release on Tuesday 26th September at 8:50pm (KST) / 7:50am (EST) / 4:50am (ET). Expect the episode to drop on Viki a few hours after its original release in South Korea.
Also, do expect the episodes to drop with English subtitles. Each episode will have a runtime of around 1 hour and 5 minutes.
How Many Episodes Will Twinkling Watermelon Have?
It has been revealed that Twinkling Watermelon is a regular K-drama with 16 episodes in total. The show will also be releasing two episodes each week with new episodes dropping every Monday and Tuesday until the second week of November.
The show stars Ryeoun as Ha Eun-gyeol, Choi Hyun-wook as Ha Yi-chan, Seol In-ah as Choi Se-kyeong and Shin Eun-soo as Yoon Cheong-ah in the main roles.
What happened in Episode 1?
Eun-gyeol is a CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult) and the only hearing member in his family of four. Since both his parents and his older brother Eun-ho are not able to hear, Eun-gyeol has the responsibility of being the interpreter for his parents. After a sudden fire breaks out in their apartment, Eun-gyeol’s family is seconds away from a tragedy which the young boy blames himself for.
