Episode 2
In the opening scene of ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Episode 2, the princess is tortured by Lieutorments Youki and Inki to extract information from her. In front of the princess in her prison cell, the two of them play video games. They entice her to play video games with them, and she caves in quickly, explaining that Wednesdays are a low-security day at the eastern gate of her realm.
Unfortunately, their cram session is on Wednesday, so even after receiving the information, the superior will not be able to put it to good use. So, in order to get more valuable details, the princess will have to endure even more torture.
A beast master then visits the princess in her prison cell. She brings a polar bear cub along with her. After that, she holds the polar bear toy till the princess reveals some details. Just as the princess is about to spill the beans, the beast master breaks down in tears at the sight of the polar bear’s anguish and returns the toy. The princess has now decided to divulge some information to them nevertheless. However, it doesn’t prove to be useful yet again.
Following this, the princess is taken to an undisclosed location with blinds. She then winds up at a hot spring. To coax information out of her, they use kindness in this case. They continue to offer her chocolate-filled biscuits until she finally gives in and says the princess’s shoe size is 23. The princess is informed that they will return to torment her when this information is also unhelpful. Nevertheless, it seems like the princess is looking forward to more torture.
The Episode Review
In episode 2, our heroic princess encounters a slew of new enemies, such as a terrifying giant, a tamer who commands savage beasts, and a sinister pair of oni.
Compared to the previous episode, this episode is an absolute disappointment. The previous episode wasn’t excellent either. However, this episode drops the ball in a whole different way. Even though we’re only in the second episode, the plot already feels overly repetitive. Furthermore, the plot is uninteresting, the humour falls flat, and the characters are dull.
Hopefully, momentum will build. But so far, it seems like the show isn’t worth watching.
