Do Orla & Kyle reunite?
Episode 3 begins with Orla facing the prison disciplinary committee. She’s told that even though she has committed a serious offense, she’ll only need to spend an extra 20 days in prison. Orla is grateful, as it could’ve been much worse.
Orla calls Kyle, who informs her that her grandmother has died this morning. Orla says that she’ll be there, but there’s a good chance that she might be in handcuffs because of something she did in prison.
However, Orla’s escort uncuffs her so she can hug her child. Orla is soon to be released and told that all the hostels that gave convicts shelter for a few weeks until they get back on their feet are full. One of the guards tells Orla that they can give her a tent.
After her release, Orla meets her son Kyle and promises that she’ll get a job and a place to live so they can be together. Orla also asks Kyle not to give up on her, and the latter agrees.
What happens to Adam?
Kelsey’s baby was delivered, thanks to Abi, who used to be a nurse and other inmates, and Kelsey couldn’t be happier. Kelsey wanted to name her son Adam after his boyfriend, but she changed her mind after Adam let her down. In retaliation, Adam, while meeting her, passes her drugs, and the CPS ends up separating Kelsey from Daniel.
This pains Kelsey, and she considers doing drugs again, but Abi stops her and asks him to stay miles away from such stuff if she ever wants to see her baby. Kelsey is hell-bent on getting her baby back and decides to tell everything to the cops, but Adam threatens her that he’ll pay someone to murder Kelsey and her son in prison.
Kelsey doesn’t deter and testifies, and Adam is sent to prison for ten years. Eventually, Kelsey completes her sentence and is finally reunited with her son.
What was Abi’s Secret?
Abi is visited by her husband, who informs her that he is now seeing someone. He also asks Abi why she did what she did, but the latter has no answer. Things aren’t looking good for Abi; she’s often picked on by her fellow convicts. At one instance, someone put shit in her breakfast. In the support group, she finally decides to tell her story, hoping it will be enough to let her live in peace.
Abi reveals that she and her husband had been trying for ages to get pregnant, and when she was, they couldn’t be any more happier. However, the baby was born weak, but the nurses, rather than helping her, liked to tell Abi where she spent her vacation. Rob, Abi’s husband, was no help either and often lied about having a late-night meeting so he didn’t have to hear the cries of his new-born.
How does Time season 2 end?
Abi was trying her best to care for his child, but she was having a hard time coping because of the lack of support from Rob. Abi grew weary of her baby’s cries and drowned him. Abi tried to drown herself as well but couldn’t see it through. This was when Abi realized what she had done. When Rob returned, he found his son’s body in the cot, lying lifeless.
He called the police, and Abi was arrested. In the present, Abi’s inmates tell her that they will never forgive her for what she has done, but they will not harm her. As the episode nears its end, Abi finally grieves and cries her heart out.
The Episode Review
Episode 3 wraps up the stories of the three characters in a satisfying way. Orla finally sits down with her son, who, instead of running away, chooses to listen to her and promises to treat her like a mother.
Kelsey, after bringing down Adam, receives a lenient sentence and is released after serving her time. Although she’s not yet reunited with her son, she’s started a new job and has distanced herself completely from drugs. With time, she hopes to get back on her feet and eventually have her son returned to her.
Unfortunately, Abi doesn’t share the same fate. She’s sentenced to life in prison and won’t be getting out. The death of her son will always be a painful memory, but she finds peace in knowing that she won’t be harmed in her sleep.
Each character’s journey concludes in a different way, but all three have found some form of resolution to their stories.
