The Return of The Ex

Episode 6 of This Love Doesn’t Have Long Beans starts with the three remaining contestants questioning if Chef will change his mind about selling the restaurant since Khaosuay is back. This irritates Plawan, since he is also not sure where Oab’s loyalty lies.

As they talk, Khaosuay walks in and thanks Kluea for calling her about her dad. Kluea is out here doing the most. Such a snitch! He quickly denies knowing what Khaosuay is talking about. 

Later that night, Palawan shares his troubles with his best friend. He admits he is worried that Oab and Khaosuay will get back together. According to him, the two are the perfect couple and have a history. However, Oab is crying in his kitchen, unable to decide what to do. 

The next morning, Khaosuay visits the restaurant to share her idea for a new menu. Plawan suggests that there is no need to change the menu and gets offended when he learns that the restaurant got its name since Khaosuay is allergic to long beans. He is even more distressed when Oab later calls them for a meeting and announces he will test them on menu-making. It doesn’t help that every time Khaosuay is at the restaurant; she finds a way to subtly flirt with Oab. 

After seeing Plawan is angry, Oab tries to bribe him with food. He assures Plawan that he is the one he wants and sneaks a kiss. He is a smooth operator in the kitchen and flirting department! Later that night, he fixes a quick meal for Plawan when he finds him rummaging through the kitchen for some food.

Elsewhere, JJ quits his job after learning that Methas bought the treatment centre. He refuses to work for Methas, saying he won’t be bought with money. He advises the handsome millionaire to try connecting with him through his heart.

A few days later, Methas visits him at his house. He smoothly uses his condition to get into JJ’s house and flirt with him. After learning that JJ likes movies, Methas rents the whole theatre just to spend time with him. He gets irritated when JJ invites a child and a mom to join them but melts when he sees how happy the latter is while watching the movie.

In the end, he convinces JJ to come back to work as his physical therapist.

Things continue to get tense between Oab, Khaosuay and Plawan in the restaurant. Khaosuay asks the chef to define his relationship with Plawan, then changes her mind before he can answer her question.

On the other hand, Plawan loses his cool when he fails the menu-making challenge and Oab scolds him. Once again, Kluea comes to the rescue and calms Plawan down. Plawan continues to see him as a good friend, but Pansip notices Kluea’s feelings. 

In the meantime, Khaosuay uses her dad as an excuse to try to spend more time with Oab. One night, after visiting her dad, they have dinner together. She asks Oab to give her another chance, but he says nothing.

He later talks to his friend, Nubnueng, and explains he is confused. Nubnueng advises him not to confuse gratitude with love. Oab feels gratitude toward Khaosuay but loves Plawan. Nubnueng warns him that dragging the situation further will hurt everyone and he might lose Plawan. Oab tries to set a meeting to talk to Khaosuay, but she suspects what he wants to say and claims to be busy. She visits Nubnueng and asks him to convince Oab to take her back, but he refuses to meddle in their affair.

Speaking of Plawan, he and the other contestants decide to go out to relieve some stress. Pansip takes it upon himself to help Kluea get close to Plawan and confess his feelings. He intentionally leaves the two of them to enjoy themselves at the amusement park and returns to the restaurant. He finds Oab and blurts out that Kluea is with Plawan and is planning to confess his feelings.

The episode ends with Oab rushing to the amusement park. Unfortunately, he finds Kluea in a compromising situation with Plawan. From the looks of it, Kluea is trying to kiss a drunk Plawan without his consent.

The Episode Review

Nubnueng is a great and wise friend. He has a way of saying things that makes sense and helps Oab understand his feelings.  His advice to Khaosuay was reasonable too. The girl needs to let Oab go and focus on being there for her dad. 

On the other hand, Methas is trying to get close to JJ, but he is going about it the wrong way. He needs to start listening to JJ and stop throwing money at him. How many times will JJ tell him what he wants? However, Methas is so cute so we will give him one final pass to get his act together.

Lastly, Oab needs to get the Khaosuay situation straightened out quickly. Unfortunately, we can’t help but stress out about what will happen when discover Plawan’s deal with Methas. JJ was right, Palawan should have confessed his sins before jumping into bed with Oab.
