What Happened In Episode 8?

Guideau escapes the castle with the Demon Sword and meets up with Ashaf. He heals Cugat and gets him on their side. However, they are still weak and the Executioner appears before them with Helga and many paladins.

He lies about not being able to control Helga and uses that to make her steal the sword. He unsheathes it and stabs the witch, awakening the weapon’s power. Turns out it becomes a giant and chaotic humanoid monster capable of cutting anything.

As the situation worsens, Guideau kisses Helga, and the episode opens as the coffin with her body starts to open.
