The Surrogacy – Season 1 Episode 4 Recap & Review

Episode 4

Episode 4 of The Surrogacy begins with Julia spotting Hugo and Yeni together. She tries to figure out why they were together and ends up giving the impression that she is looking down on Yeni. He confronts Julia about her attitude and tells her that she has changed. She then defends her actions by making a few excuses.

Nora invites Marcela to come over to her house. She then blackmails Marcela, knowing that she was in Irene’s house when she was killed. Following this, Nora asks her to help her with her plans and to accompany her to meet Yeni.

Yeni heads over to meet Julia. Nora enters with Marcela and directs Julia and Marcela to another room to care for the newborn girl. Nora informs Yeni of the loopholes in the contract she signed, and she abandons her grandson and gives him to Yeni. Yeni also blackmails Julia and forces her to abandon her son.

Sonia calls Carlos and informs him about the situation. However, before he arrives, Yeni leaves with his son. Marcela then deceives Carlos on Nora’s orders. Carlos, on the other hand, appears sceptical.

When Sonia and her mom arrive at the hotel, they try to convince Yeni that caring for the newborn baby is not her responsibility. After a while, Yeni confides in Sonia that she fell in love with Carlos and even slept with him.

Marcela tells Roberto that the newborn children are most likely Yeni’s kids. She then tells Roberto that she wants to help her, but Yeni doesn’t trust her. Following this, Roberto agrees to help her so she can be at ease.

In the past, Balo pushed Mubu towards Lucia’s car while she was driving it. To deliver the insurance money for the tragic passing of her dad, Francisco makes an attempt to get in touch with Yeni. However, Yeni has realized that her father’s passing might have been intentionally pulled off and she is aware that Balo was involved in Mubu’s murder. As a consequence, she doesn’t take Francisco’s money.

After returning home, Carlos apologizes to Julia. Following that, Julia slaps him, and the episode comes to a close.

The Episode Review

The show attempts to keep viewers interested by employing dramatic twists and turns. The amount of pointless drama, though, is comparable to daily soaps. It’s difficult to take the show seriously given how ridiculously dramatic it is.

At this point, it’s difficult to empathize with or root for the protagonist. Yeni willingly sleeps with Carlos despite knowing that he is married. Even worse, she asks him to keep going despite his attempt to stop.
