The Mire: Millennium – Episode 4 Recap & Review

Episode 4

Episode 4 of Mire: Millennium begins with Witold showing up at Piotr’s doorstep to check on him and see if the police have made any progress in Wanda’s case.

Piotr isn’t at home, and Joann invites Witold inside for tea. She reveals that the police are saying Wanda has run off with her boyfriend, which is obviously not true. Meanwhile, Piotr is doing everything he can to find Wanda and discovers that some time ago, Wanda was looking for a job at Kleopetra, Marian Hanys’ club.

Piotr suspects that Marian is somehow connected to his daughter’s disappearance. Mika and Anna are also working on the case, tracing the IP address of the guy who has been chatting with Wanda. Their investigation leads them to a mysterious man in a hooded jacket with a specific tattoo. After visiting a couple of tattoo shops in town, they find a photograph.

When Marian sees the photo, she immediately panics, suggesting that she recognizes the tattoo. Perhaps the gang Marian escaped from was defined by people with these specific tattoos. After it becomes clear that they’re both the same guy, they try to leave a message at his email address, posing as someone interested in drugs.

As the episode progresses, Kinga, Joanna, and their team find more remains in the jungle, but some higher-ups from Warsaw arrive to take the remains away with them. Both Kinga and Joanna are told to accept the reality and not get involved in matters that don’t concern them. Jassaj is also carrying out his own investigation and is determined to find Filip, the manager’s son.

If you don’t know, the manager used to run a local prostitution ring with Grochowiak, a swimming coach, providing women to those who could pay for their services. The manager was so evil that he even forced his wife to sleep with other people.

Anna’s plan works, and the guy once again arrives at the internet cafe. Anna and Mika decide to tail him. The man leads them to a nightclub, possibly another one of Marian Hanys’ owned businesses. Mika tries to distract Rolo, Hanys’ right-hand man, while Anna looks for the guy.

Since calling for backup would be foolish, Anna calls her father, Jassaj, asking for his help. Jassaj makes some calls, and within moments, dozens of goons storm the place. Anna jumps at the opportunity and rescues a girl who has been in chains. Sadly, Wanda isn’t there.

The Episode Review

Wanda is still missing after several days, leaving everyone concerned. Anna was convinced that she would find Wanda at the nightclub, but by the time the police arrived, she had been moved. Despite this setback, we know Anna is determined and won’t give up until she finds Wanda.

In the upcoming episode, we’re likely to learn more about Jassasj and why he’s searching for Filip. The plot thickens, and the next episode promises to unravel more of the mystery.
