The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, from developer Digital Sun and publisher Riot Games, is set for release very soon.

The game is a gritty 2D pixel RPG that takes place in the League of Legends universe.

Game synopsis (according to the mageseeker.com): 

“In the kingdom of Demacia, the Mageseekers hold the power to oppress magic-using citizens in the name of public order–by inducting and indoctrinating them, locking them away, or driving them into hiding.

Play as Sylas, a spell-stealing mage who has just broken free of his unjust captivity at the Mageseekers’ hands. Wielding the chains that once bound you, you must liberate your homeland from tyranny, one Mageseeker at a time.”

  • Fight a variety of enemies with your chains and magical abilities
  • Use your enemies’ magic against them or bash them with your fists
  • Find mages and recruit them to your cause

The Mageseeker will be launching on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X on 18th April 2023.

Unlike the official League of Legends game, The Mageseeker is a single-player-only title.

How Long Is The Mageseeker: A League of Legends?

There is no information on the game’s length at the time of writing but we expect around 30-40 hours of gameplay that may be increased if gamers strive for 100% completion.

Will there be any DLC?

The Deluxe Edition of the game will include the Silverwing Supply Station Pack, the Home Sweet Cave Pack, the Hijacked Spells Pack, and the Unchained Skins Pack. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will receive an exclusive Lost Silverwing for their hideout.

Will the game have achievements?

Are there any other League of Legends spin-off games coming soon?

Yes! Two further single-player games will be released this year.

Convergence, a 2D action platformer developed by Double Stallion Games, will see players explore the city of Zaun as Ekko, a young inventor with the ability to manipulate time.

Song of Nunu, a 3D platformer developed by Tequila Works, will focus on LOL character Nunu and his yeti-like companion Willum, who have to work together to survive a vast, frozen land.

Specific release dates for these titles have not yet been announced.
