Crazy-May
Episode 3 of The Lake season 2 begins with Maisy attempting to make her mother’s stay miserable by planning a whole bunch of uninteresting activities to drive her away. Following that, Justin tells Maisy about the arsonist.
Justin meets with Riley to inform him what’s happening with the arson attacks. Riley, on the other hand, is annoyed that he has become an internet meme because of Justin. They share a touching moment, but it is not enough for Riley to forgive Justin.
Maisy is attempting to make her mother’s stay miserable, and while she attempts to do that, Billie pays a visit to her new friend Ivy, starting a new job as a tree planter. In the wake of this, Billie bonds with Ivy’s brother Forrest while working.
Maisy gets drunk and wild at a beach party. Things spiral out of control and as a result, Jayne breaks down. Forrest and Billie get along well in the woods, and they even end up kissing.
Later that evening, Justin makes an effort to learn more about the arsonist. After a while, he finds a video of the culprit and assumes that it is Riley.
The Episode Review
The episode attempts to be entertaining and enjoyable, but it is simply too long and comes across as a filler. At this point, the show doesn’t appear to have much to offer and is stretching the plot for the sake of it. After season 1, the show is gravitating toward unnecessary.
The chapter ends with Justin concluding that Riley is the arsonist. Given that Riley proposed to him, even the audience can see that his assumption is probably foolish, but we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
