Coronation

The Kingdoms of Ruin Episode 8 commences with the coronation ceremony of Dorothea. It is revealed to the citizens that His Majesty has succumbed to the illness he was fighting. We are then greeted with a performance by Dorothea while a majority of the high-level executives are assassinated. The citizens absolutely love Dorothea.

The scene switches to Shirousagi in pursuit of Adonis but is unable to track him with Yamato’s device. He decides to use old-school techniques to find him.

Meanwhile, Adonis and Doroka continue their journey on the bike while discussing how they will handle future scenarios. Adonis warns her not to get in his way. He also questions why she didn’t use her love spell on him to accomplish her mission the first time they met.

They then arrive at a ghost town. As they begin to explore the place, they venture into a police station. Doroka is extremely scared of everything inside. To make things worse, a hologram of a police officer emerges.

They continue venturing into the police station and hear someone playing the guitar and singing. They see an old man playing the guitar and have a conversation with him. The old man informs them about the predicament overshadowing the town and how people are left with modernization and advancements in science.

Adonis leaves the place. Doroka urges him to at least unlock the cell, but Adonis points out that he isn’t a prisoner as the cell was unlocked and that he has someone with him. The scene switches to the old man reassuring Sasha, the skeleton of his loved one. He reveals that she was assumed to be a witch by the people of the village.

Adonis and Doroka continue on their journey at the end of The Kingdoms of Ruin Episode 8.

The Episode Review

The Kingdoms of Ruin Episode 8 advances the story and showcases the coronation of the vicious witch, Dorothea. It’s still challenging to categorize Dorothea, as she seems to be playing both sides, and we haven’t heard a word about her from Adonis. It could potentially turn into a ‘The enemy of my enemy is my friend’ scenario. However, if they clash, it will be interesting to watch, forcing humans to pick sides. Given that there are three parties involved in this situation, the dynamic is bound to get intricate.

In addition to that, Adonis makes a few advancements in his journey. The entire interaction with the old man was heartbreaking yet beautiful. However, it doesn’t seem to be relevant to the series as a whole. It’s still hard to pinpoint the goal of this season. However, it seems to be heading in a direction where Adonis and Dorothea clash towards the end.
