The Idol Season 1 Episode 4 Preview: Release Date, Time & Where To Watch

The Idol Season 1 Episode 4

The Idol has quickly become HBO’s most talked-about show of the year. Created by Sam Levinson (Euphoria) and The Weekend (yes, the singer), The Idol focuses on the chaotic life of Jocleyn, a young, troubled pop sensation in the aftermath of her mother’s death. Jocelyn’s mother was both her pillar and abuser. She seeks to find redemption in the arms of Tedros, a shady self-proclaimed music producer and self-help guru.

Lily-Rose Depp stars as Jocelyn and this might very well be her breakout role. The Idol has been the subject of controversy due to its overt display of sex and nightmarish representation of a pop star’s struggles within the music industry. The Idol should continue to gain more heat as it heads towards its next episode.

If you’ve been following this one, you may be curious to find out when the next episode is releasing. Well, wonder no more!

Here is everything you need to know about The Idol Season 1 Episode 4, including its release date, time and where you can watch this.

Where Can I Watch The Idol?

The Idol is available to stream on HBO Max. This is an HBO exclusive original series although in the UK, the series is airing on Sky network as well as NowTV after broadcast.

The Idol Season 1 Episode 4 Release Date

The Idol Season 1 Episode 4 will release on Sunday 25th June at 12am (PT)/3am (ET).

In the UK you can find this one on Sky. Episode 4 will be available to watch at 8am (GMT). The episode will then be available to watch on catch-up and NowTV – along with the rest of the show up until this point.

The Idol will drop with subtitles available from the release too. Episode 4 is expected to be roughly 50 minutes long, consistent with the time frame for the rest of the series.

How Many Episodes Will The Idol Have?

Season 1 of The Idol has been commissioned for 5 episodes, so we’ve got 1 more episode after this one. The original plan was to come out with the traditional six-episode series. But the last one was spread over the running time of the other episodes.

What happened in Episode 3?

Episode 3 saw Tedros establish himself as a firm presence in Jocelyn’s life and house. Leia sees him as terrorizing and malignant. She instantly informs Chaim and Destiny of him and they seem concerned after meeting him. But Tedros has high connections in the industry and invites Mike Dean, Kanye’s producer, to work with Jocelyn. Tedros’ entourage of friends and followers also stays with him at Jocelyn’s house.

The episode gave us an opportunity to learn more about Jocelyn’s dynamics with her mother, what she meant in her life, and how hard it has been for her to move on. Elsewhere, Tedros creates controversy wherever he goes and his blatant, straightforward personality results in a lot of clashing with other people in Jocelyn’s entourage.
