Episode 10
In the beginning of The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil Episode 10, Lily is seen out demon hunting with Akutsu. During the course of their walk together, Lily notices a mysterious man, and almost immediately, she begins to feel anxious. Then he introduces himself as Zwei, Lily’s brother.
Lily reveals to Zwei that Akutsu is an acquaintance of hers and that she happened to run into him, which led to the two of them starting a conversation. Zwei then requests that Akutsu excuse his sister because he needs to catch up with her.
Following this, Zwei takes Lily along with him to a park, with no one around. On the other hand, Akutsu cannot help but have reservations about Lily’s brother because of the discomfort that he caused her to experience. At one point, he is seen pondering whether or not he is capable of causing her harm. Then, he comes to the realization that he is an angel, which makes him a malevolent being.
As the scene shifts, Zwei is seen frightening Lily as they are in the park. He proceeds by asking how she was able to defeat the avatar that her sister had blessed to make her feel helpless. Following that, she reveals to him that she was unable to defeat him without sustaining injuries herself. After that, Zwei claims that she was accompanied by a demon when she summoned her avatar. He then humiliates her to get her to reveal the name of the demon.
While this is going on, Akutsu watches all that is happening and gets on the phone with someone. He then asks for help, leaps off the building, and lands in front of Zwei and Lily. As a consequence of this, Zwei shackles Akutsu and is seen shaming Lily in front of Akutsu by exposing her scars, and her little wings, and making her feel as though she is not worthy. The episode comes to a close with Akutsu unable to contain his anger.
The Episode Review
During the tenth episode, Lily’s brother Zwei makes an appearance and serves as an antagonist. Additionally, throughout the course of the episode, Zwei is seen intimidating and belittling Lily. In addition to this, he discovers that Akutsu is a demon.
When compared to the episodes that came before it, this one features a storyline that functions somewhat more effectively than the others. On the other hand, the plot is rather paradoxical with the stereotypical depictions of angels and demons, and it does not do justice to the subject matter. In addition, the implications of the story may cause some viewers to feel uncomfortable.
In light of the fact that we are only one episode away from the final episode, it will be interesting to see the direction that the show takes moving forward.
