Elizabeth (Amanda Seyfried) drops out of Stanford to found a startup company she hopes will revolutionize the world of medicine. Theranos becomes wildly successful, but curious eyes find there is more to Elizabeth’s triumph than meets the eye.

Where Can I Watch The Dropout?

The Dropout will be available to watch on Hulu for viewers in the U.S. It will also be streamable on Disney+ in several countries, including the UK.

The Dropout Episode 5 will be released Thursday, 17th March at 12am (EST) and 5am (GMT). 

Episode 5 is titled “Flower of Life” and will run approximately 50 minutes long.

How Many Episodes Will The Dropout Have?

The Dropout is an 8-episode miniseries. It released three episodes in its premier week, and from now on will release one episode every week. With that in mind, we have 3 more episodes left after episode 5.

What is The Dropout Based on?

This new drama is based on a podcast also called The Dropout, from Rebecca Jarvis and ABC News. The podcast, like the TV series, follows former Stanford student Elizabeth Holmes as she creates Theranos, develops blood-testing technology, and subsequently faces charges of fraud.

What Happened in Episode 4?

In The Dropout Episode 4, Elizabeth convinced Walgreens executives to use Theranos’ blood testing device for new wellness centres in their stores. She expertly evaded all of their lab expert’s questions about the labs and FDA approval, but he remains suspicious.

Meanwhile, Ian poked around and found out about Elizabeth’s and Sunny’s plan to partner with Walgreens and test the unfinished device on humans. Elizabeth fired him after his protest, but hired him back when the entire lab stood up for him.
