The Demon Prince of Momochi House Episode 2 begins with Himari getting upset as she discovers Aoi sleeping beside her. She proceeds with her day and is surprised to find the rooms clean. She demands rent from the three, but they reveal they don’t have any money.

Aoi discloses that he doesn’t go to school and doesn’t have a job, and she offers to help him find one. Just then, Ise scares her with a lizard. Out of anger, she yells, “Get out,” and Ise is hurled away. Himari learns that the house only listens to this order of hers.

Later that night, she sees a strange mist and light and overhears them talking about Aoi protecting her. Entering the room, she witnesses a ritual being conducted while Aoi seems to be in great pain. Later, Himari questions him about his form and learns about his powers, responsibilities, and how he reached the house.

The next day, Himari sees a few cherry blossom leaves and realizes they are coming from the next room. She hears a voice calling out to her, requesting her to pluck a fruit from the tree. As soon as she plucks an apple, it turns purple, and the tree tries to attack her. Aoi arrives just in time and pulls her away. A face emerges from the tree, and Aoi, along with Ise and Yukari, defeats the tree monster.

Following that, Aoi and Himari have a heartfelt conversation. A few real cherry blossom leaves fall beside them, and Himari takes Aoi’s hand, dragging him to look for the tree. Aoi hits a barrier while Himari runs out of the gate. Himari learns that he has never exited the house in years and that memories of him have been erased from his loved ones’ minds forever. He claims he cannot leave but asks her to. Ise and Yukari also advise her to leave for Aoi’s sake.

While walking through the city, she meets a person who urges her to speak to him about her life, and she tells him about the situation. He advises her to try her best so she never regrets it. She decides to return to the house. The same evening, she takes a huge bag of supplies and arrives at the house. Aoi is surprised, but Himari promises to stay there until they figure out how to get him out. Aoi gives her a warm hug at the end of The Demon Prince of Momochi House Episode 2.

The Episode Review

The Demon Prince of Momochi House Episode 2 delves further into the romance, solidifying it even more this time. Things are turning out to be the perfect fairytale romance that the two are living. Aoi plays the role of Prince Charming while Himari feels a strong gravitation toward him.

The chapter adds uniqueness and reveals that he is unable to leave the Momochi house at all. The episode finally sets up what seems to be the long-term goal of the anime, granting it a lot of versatility. Aoi will be able to save her from atrocities arising in the house while she tries to save him in the long run.
