The Curse Season 1 Episode 6 Preview: Release Date, Time & Where To Watch

The Curse Season 1 Episode 6

The Curse promises to be one of the most intriguing shows of the year. The show comes from the minds of the Safdie brothers, who have written the script and serve as showrunners for Season 1.

Emma Stone is the star attraction of The Curse, which has been classified as a dark satirical comedy. It made its festival debut with three episodes at the New York Film Festival last month and has now made its on-air debut.

Nathan Fielder, who has co-created the show with Bennie Safdie – who also stars as Dougie – has been a constant source of laughs. Although the first half of Season 1 has not gone for the conventional comedy genre setup, The Curse has certainly stood out for its deliciously satirical black humour. The show has proved to be a thoroughly entertaining offering from Showtime, making its presence felt in the primetime slot.

Here is everything you need to know about The Curse Season 1 Episode 6, including its release date, time, and where you can watch this.

Where Can I Watch The Curse?

The Curse will be available to watch on both Showtime and its streaming partner, Paramount+. While the former will be the cable network to tune into for on-air releases of episodes, the latter will give viewers the option to stream the show. There are no other streaming options as of now for our readers in the US and the UK.

The Curse Season 1 Episode 6 Release Date

The Curse will follow a weekly release schedule until its season finale in January next year. The new episodes of The Curse will be available to stream on Paramount+ with subtitles. It must be noted here that Paramount+ will be hosting new episodes two days before the on-air release. Episode 6 will be available on December 15 for our viewers in the US. The new episode will be coming on Sunday on Showtime. So all the upcoming episodes will be available to stream on Fridays and watch on the cable network on Sundays. How Many Episodes Will The Curse Have?

The Curse Season 1 will have a total of ten episodes. After episode 6, we will be left with four more episodes. We do not expect any scheduling changes from Showtime for the next month. But if there are any, we will be sure to update our readers in this series of preview articles.

What happened in Episode 5?

In Episode 5 of The Curse, Asher and Whitney are taken to task during the shooting of their opening episode for the new reality show. The couple in focus, Dennis and Lucinda, are sceptical about the project’s viability in their lives. Dennis takes particular offence to Whit’s moral lecturing about not installing an AC unit in the house, which would take away its passive certification.

Things get worse from that point on as Dennis and Lucinda back off from purchasing the house. This includes a demand by Whitney for them to sign a waiver in favour of the Pueblos, who can potentially claim title to their house if they want.

Whitney and Asher deal with constant issues throughout the shooting. Inviting her “good friend” Cara to pretend to be a homebuyer doesn’t work for Whitney. She later resorts to using pedestrians from the Santa Fe region for the show.

Whitney’s parents are revealed to be the true owners of the land that her company is building the houses on. When they show up, she is thrown off and goes on a rant about their lack of seriousness and belief in her abilities. The shoot goes well, however, and she and Asher get decent footage for the episode. Dougie and Cara also hit it off as they spend the entire day talking to each other.

Asher invites Mark Rose, an interested homebuyer who is deemed a potentially harmful presence for the show’s credibility by Whitney. However, once Rose opens up about his charitable endeavours and his political views, and reveals his Apache lineage, Whitney is made to eat her words. Asher’s small victory bothers her so much that Whitney almost refuses to talk to him as they go to bed.
