The Apple TV+ show stars Tom Holland as the central character, whose name has been changed to Danny Sullivan. Amanda Seyfried, Emmy Rossum, and Will Chase star in supporting roles.
The series is not the edge-of-the-seat thriller that was expected. It is more along the lines of a psychological drama that amounts to a tough watch. The dark undertones of its thematic core are complimented by touching performances, especially by Holland. The first three episodes of the show were released on the 9th of June.

The Crowded Room Season 1 Episode 9 will release on Friday 21st July at 12am (PT)/3am (ET).
The episode is titled “Family” and will pick up in the aftermath of Danny’s startling revelation about himself. As the name suggests, this will be a vital episode to truly understand the depths of Danny’s attempts to escape his “crowded room.” The Crowded Room will drop with subtitles available from the release too. Episode 9 is expected to be roughly 44 minutes long, consistent with the time frame for the rest of the series.

What happened in Episode 8?
Episode 7 of The Crowded Room focused on Danny conversing with Rya about his many alters. Now that he has a sense of his condition, Danny revisits many instances from the previous episodes where we saw his alters act on his behalf. Instances like Yitzhak beating up Billy and the other bullies, Ariana visiting the club and having a steamy affair with Jerome, and Jonny being a drug junkie were all Danny himself.
The viewing is definitely uncomfortable and even harder for Danny to process. Marlin is now suspected by Candy of assaulting Danny when he was a child. It seemed to be over for him when he was summoned by Stan for the trial but he quickly turned the tables by approaching the DA and preparing himself to lie on the stand.
Danny’s tricky situation is unlikely to resolve with this rattling turn of events. We look forward to the final two episodes to give us a satisfying end to this tumultuous journey.
