The Continental Season 1 Episode 3 Preview: Release Date, Time & Where To Watch

The Continental Season 1 Episode 3

The Continental marks one of the first expansions of the John Wick cinematic universe by Paramount Pictures. The three-episode-long miniseries will serve as an introduction to the origins of Winston’s character as the owner of the Continental in New York City.

The show is set in the 70s and shows a young Winston making his mark as a member of the High Table. Colin Woodell portrays the protagonist. Mel Gibson also stars as Cormac, another new character.

The Continental will be set in the same cinematic universe as the John Wick films but will not feature too many familiar characters. The miniseries will have its own twist on historic world events from the 70s, including the rise of the Mafia as an economic force in the US.

Here is everything you need to know about The Continental Season 1 Episode 3, including the release date, time, and where you can watch this show!

Where Can I Watch The Continental Season 1?

Season 1 of The Continental: From the World of John Wick will be available to watch on Peacock for our viewers in the US. The streaming service will be the only exclusive source to watch new episodes of the show.

For our international viewers outside the US, The Continental will stream episodes on Prime Video. The episodes will be released on the same day on both platforms.

The series was set to release on Starz earlier but the rights were sold to Peacock in March of this year.

The Continental Season 1 Episode 3 Release Date

Episode 3 of The Continental will be released on Friday 6th October at 12 am (PT) / 3 am (ET).

The third episode is titled “Theater of Pain.” The third episode will pick up in the aftermath of Winston trying to stake a claim for The Continental and avenge Frankie by killing Cormac. There are many subplots that will run parallel to this main storyline, although we fully expect them to come full circle by the time the miniseries ends. The finale should bring forth an exciting showdown between Winston and Cormac’s gun-heavy armies that will be out for blood.

Episode 3 of The Continental will be available to watch with subtitles. We expected the runtime for each episode to be approximately an hour long but episode 1 surprised us with a 90-minute runtime. It might be the case that episode 3 also runs for about an hour and a half.

How Many Episodes Will The Continental Season 1 have?

The Continental Season 1 has been commissioned for a total of 3 episodes. That means the next installment will be the finale.

There are a lot of new movies and television shows from the world of John Wick lined up for the next two years. You can read more about them here

What happened in Episode 2?

Episode 2 of The Continental begins with Winston announcing that he will take over The Continental from Cormac by killing him. He interests Lou and Miles into joining hands with him. Although hate is a common denominator, he also offers MIiles a free pass at running his arms dealing business without hindrances. The group spends the rest of the episode trying to gather an army to take on Cormac.

KD gets wind of Frankie’s cremation at the morgue but does not find his body. She suspects Ezra, the coroner’s assistant, made the body disappear for bribes and strongarms him into revealing key details about Miles. Lou has to deal with a new-age Chinaman who has taken over the neighborhood and is imposing his own rules.

Winston meets with Marzie Queenpin from the Bowery to discuss a potential alliance. But before they can discuss the issue, Cormac’s men raid the place. Winston is smuggled through their rich operation to safety. Miles enlists the help of Gene, an old friend of his father’s, who also has a beef with Cormac and even has a room at The Continental.

The final piece in Winston’s plan is to get an inside man to turn. He spots an opportunity to use Charon as that avenue by citing very valid reasons why Cormac deserves to be betrayed.
