Episode 4
In episode 4, Thony discovers that the smugglers have abandoned Fiona and Chris in the desert. She asks Dante to contact the Sincara cartel to learn more, but he refuses, saying it doesn’t work that way. Under pressure, the smuggler reveals where he left Fiona and her son, prompting Thony to decide to retrieve her sister and nephew herself.
Meanwhile, Nadia meets her old friend Logan and gives him money to find Arman, promising more payment if he succeeds. However, Ramona and Jorge learn about this and warn Nadia that hiring a bounty hunter isn’t a wise choice. Ramona also assures Nadia that she’s doing everything to find Arman and asks her not to make trouble.
Later, Russo confronts Nadia about liquidating a million dollars and freezes Kamdar’s estate and assets until trial, which puts Nadia in a tough spot as she needs that money to get Arman back. It’s clear Russo is trying to pressure Nadia into accepting his demands. Nadia tries to bend the laws in her favor through her lawyers, but even they can’t help.
The situation intensifies when Arman’s kidnappers demand a hundred million dollars for his safe return. Nadia considers seeking Russo’s help but changes her mind after noticing Jorge’s visiting cards.
Jorge catches up with the team, searching for Fiona and Chris, and orders his men to abandon Thony. He then takes Thony deeper into the desert, subtly threatening that he could make her disappear anytime. They reach the spot where the smugglers left Fiona and Chris, but they’re not there.
Thony breaks down upon finding a decomposed body, possibly of another illegal immigrant, but Jorge calms her. She notices Chris’s cap and realizes they are close. Before they can find Fiona and Chris, they are captured by bounty hunters, but Thony and Jorge manage to overpower them.
Meanwhile, another group of border vigilantes forces the van carrying illegal immigrants off the road, trapping them. Fortunately, Thony and Jorge find them in time and save them before they run out of oxygen.
Nadia meets with Ramona and confides in her about the ransom demand and Russo freezing her money. Ramona appreciates Nadia’s honesty and promises to help her access the revenue stream. However, she subtly warns Nadia not to betray her.
As the episode nears its end, Ramona calls Nadia to a rooftop and shows her as she blows up one of Kamdar’s properties. This allows Nadia to collect the insurance money to pay the kidnappers. Ramona also promises to cover the remaining amount.
The Episode Review
Finally, after months of effort and countless struggles, Tony has been reunited with her sister and nephew. It’s a joyful moment knowing that she no longer has to face the world alone; she’ll have her sister by her side.
Meanwhile, a friendship seems to be blossoming between Ramona and Nadia, with the former even promising to help get back Arman. Looking ahead, we can expect tensions to rise as Ramona prepares to go against Russo. While Russo wants to see Arman behind bars, Ramona, as his aunt, is determined to see him free.
