The Cleaning Lady is a popular series about Thony De La Rosa, a doctor from Cambodia and the Philippines, living in Las Vegas with an expired visa. She’s fighting to get treatment for her son’s rare illness. Things take a dark turn when she sees a murderer and is forced by a mobster to clean up crime scenes. She also ends up treating people in his criminal circle.
Balancing this risky side job with her family life gets harder as she finds herself sinking deeper into the criminal underworld for the sake of her son.
What Happened In Episode 1?
Rosa is determined to bring Fiona back to the US from the Philippines after she was deported for helping Rosa steal medical supplies to save Luca. The plan goes south when Rosa and Arman face danger on the tarmac leading to Arman’s disappearance.
As for Fiona, she meets Tony, revealing their son Chris. During the search, Nadia and Rosa discover Arman’s family is estranged, and he has cartel connections. As the episode nears its end, Fiona is kidnapped by the cartel, revealing Arman is their nephew. Ramona, the cartel boss, promises to find Arman but also asks Rosa not to reveal the cartel’s existence to anyone.
