The Changeling Season 1 Episode 8
Lakeith Stanfield and Clark Backo star in Apple TV’s new slow-burn horror television series The Changeling. The first three episodes provided only a glimpse into Apollo and Emma’s parenting nightmare with a lot of ground to cover. Apple’s three-episode release premiere garnered a great response from viewers.
The new series has got everyone excited at the prospect of witnessing another Servant-like series. It remains unclear what the burning answer to the mystery behind the couple’s stalker is currently. The upcoming episodes will gradually unravel the bizarre events that make The Changeling a feverish watch.
The second half of the show is firmly rooted in the fantastical elements of the novel. This will make the pace of storytelling better and lead us to the answers to burning questions about the show’s plot. The finale is all that is left now to wrangle all the answers for us from this ocean of myth, legends, and fairytales.

What happened in Episode 7?
Episode 7 of The Changeling, “Stormy Weather,” is a conundrum. It has almost no bearing on the storytelling and expands upon the fantastical core of the show. All the focus is on Lillian Kagwa, who imagines going back to Elk Motel and reliving her life choices through reenactments from her memory. The surreal intertwining of the past, present, and the promise of the future unravels in her mind.
Lillian goes through everything – what happened in Uganda, how she made the decision to come to America, and most important of all, how her marriage with Brian turned toxic. Apollo and Emma do not feature at all in episode 7. In fact, we do not get to see what happens after Emma starts her voyage to find baby Brian and nestle him out of the fairies’ grasp.
It is revealed that Brian was bipolar or suffered from terrible mood swings. The pair became distant as Lillian broke off their marriage but Brian was not ready to give up on Apollo. He wanted to be a good father and yet something irreparable in him prevented that from happening. He became skeptical of Lillian’s fidelity and when she came back home one day, she found him trying to drown Apollo in the bathtub.
Without hesitation, she landed a heavy blow to the back of his head and Brian bled out. Lillian took care of the problem but was left with wounds with scars that would never heal. Apollo’s responsibility kept her going and she created a ruse for herself about what happened that night. It is also revealed that Brian’s suspicions were right and Lilly did in fact cheat with her boss, Charles, at Elk Hotel.
