The Changeling Season 1 Episode 5
Lakeith Stanfield and Clark Backo star in Apple TV’s new slow-burn horror television series The Changeling. The first three episodes provided only a glimpse into Apollo and Emma’s parenting nightmare with a lot of ground to cover. Apple’s three-episode release premiere garnered a great response from viewers.
The new series has got everyone excited at the prospect of witnessing another Servant-like series. It remains unclear what the burning answer to the mystery behind the couple’s stalker is currently. The upcoming episodes will gradually unravel the bizarre events that make The Changeling a feverish watch.
Here is everything you need to know about The Changeling Season 1 Episode 5, including its release date, time and where you can watch this.
Where Can I Watch The Changeling?
Apple TV+ remains the only platform that will host The Changeling. All the episodes will be available to stream on the platform with subtitles. You can check out different offers to stream the show with Apple TV+’s partner channels here.
The Changeling Season 1 Episode 5 Release Date
The Changeling Season 1 Episode 5 will be released on Friday, September 22, at 9 pm ET/PT. Expect the runtime to be roughly 47 minutes or even more, as was the case with the first three episodes. The new episode of The Changeling is titled “This Woman’s Work,” although we cannot say with much certainty what to expect. The episode might tell us in more detail about the strange woman from Portugal and contextualize the story of The Wise Ones and Cal.
How Many Episodes Will The Changeling Have?
The Changeling’s Season 1 will run for a total of 8 episodes. So, after episode 5, we will have another 3 episodes to go that will follow a weekly release schedule, subject to any changes Apple TV+ might make in between. We do not expect there to be any major scheduling interruptions.
What happened in Episode 4?
Episode 4 of The Changeling, “The Wise Ones,” focuses on Apollo’s big discovery about Emma’s affiliation with a group that practices witchcraft. But first, Partice and he must conclude their lucrative book deal with William Wheeler. The guy is odd and strange but his cheque of $70k will change lives. They meet him near the docks. Neither of them thinks too highly of William, who is at once portrayed as clumsy and low on self-confidence.
William takes them to a boat that he has rented using his own software, “Rock-a-bye.” William confides in them that he is making this expensive deal as a last chance to win his wife Gretta back. They have two children, Agnes and Grace, whom he hasn’t seen for a long time.
To bury the horrors of Brian, Apollo meets Kim, Emma’s sister, in a cafe. He tries to give her money for all the help she gave the couple with the birth. Although Kim is hesitant, she ends up accepting it. But she does not reveal to Apollo Emma’s third wish.
It is hinted that William might be the stalker who was sending photos to Emma as he contacts Apollo and teases him with similar messages. Apollo is able to track him down and aggressively questions what William wants with him.
William confesses that he saw the news about Emma giving birth on a train and became curious about their life stories. He also claims that he knows Emma is alive and spotted her on a distant island. Patrice and Apollo check out this information and the latter is convinced to go with William. They land on a spooky island in the middle of the East River where they are apprehended by Cal and her Wise Ones.
Cal mercilessly beats William and locks both men up. William reveals that he has “called the cavalry” and everyone on the island will die if Apollo does not talk to Gretta about forgiving him. Gretta killed Agnes, their newborn baby, like Emma, but William has found forgiveness in his heart.
