The Apothecary Diaries Season 1 Episode 17 Release Date
The Apothecary Diaries Season 1 Episode 17 will be released on Saturday 3rd February at approximately 4pm (GMT) / 9am (PT) / 11am (CT). Of course, it’s dependent on how quickly the platform uploads new episodes. Expect this to be pretty close to the release time though.
The Apothecary Diaries Season 1’s English Dub is now available on Crunchyroll. However, only episodes one through fourteen have been dubbed so far. You’ll need to watch the remaining episodes in the native Japanese language with subtitles.

What Happened In Episode 16?
In The Apothecary Diaries Season 1 Episode 16, Jinshi informs Maomao about the Metalworker’s secret technique case and hands her a document Lakan gave to him containing the Metalworker’s address. Maomao travels to the Metalworker’s mansion with Basen, greets the Metalworker’s sons, and investigates their workshop to gather clues.
During this investigation, Maomao examines the brothers’ dynamics and learns about the eldest brothers’ disdain for their father’s will and the gifts they received from it. Maomao finds some notable clues but asks Basen to convince the brothers to share more intel with her. Later, Maomao leaves to get water and pours it into the youngest son’s fishbowl.
Through clever tricks, Maomao opens the second brother’s chest drawers. Inside were minerals like lead and the two eldest brothers were baffled by this discovery. Before they leave, the youngest brother explains what their father hoped they would accomplish with these gifts. Essentially, he says their father wanted them to work together.
Before Maomao and Basen leave, Maomao tells the youngest brother to visit Luomen if he’s ever ill. At Jinshi’s office, Lakan informs Jinshi about what happened between the Metalworker’s sons and their newfound goals. Jinshi asks Lakan to share more details with him regarding the courtesan woman tale, but Lakan refuses and leaves.
Jinshi and Maomao meet each other at night. The episode closes with Jinshi asking Maomao to help him put his makeup on.
