What Happened In Episode 9?
In The Apothecary Diaries Season 1 Episode 9, Jinshi and Gaoshun report a new case involving Sir Kounen’s death. After examining the evidence, Maomao deduces he perished because someone put too much salt in his alcohol. After their amusing discussion over an alcohol bill, Maomao gets roped into another case involving a maid’s death.
She discusses this case with Jinshi and Gaoshun for a bit. However, she’s unsure if the maid died via suicide or murder. However, this entices Maomao to contemplate death and its ties to destiny. She asks Jinshi to murder her via poison if the situation calls for it. She leaves the premises and confirms others ruled the maid’s case as a suicide after discovering a suicide note at the scene.
Later, Gaoshun updates Jinshi about the “burnt arm” case and says Lady Ah-Duo’s head lady-in-waiting Fengming is responsible. The episode ends with Jinshi pondering this news.
