The Afterparty Season 2 Episode 9

Some of the cast from season 1 returns, including Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, and Zoe Chao.

The new season was supposed to release in the month of April. But due to some unforeseen circumstances and the WGA strike, the release of season 2 was postponed to July. But do not worry as the release is now going as per the new schedule with no interruptions!

Here is everything you need to know about The Afterparty Season 2 Episode 9, including the release date, time and where you can watch this show.

Where Can I Watch The Afterparty Season 2?

The Afterparty is available to watch on Apple TV Plus platforms across the globe in the US, UK, and almost 60 other countries. Although it is mostly an exclusive platform, The Afterparty will also be available to stream on Roku with a slight delay owing to their partnership with the streamers.

The Afterparty Season 2 Episode 9 Release Date

The Afterparty Season 2 Episode 9 will release on Wednesday 23rd August at 12am (PT)/3am (ET). The episode will become available to stream on all global Apple TV+ platforms simultaneously. The Afterparty will drop with subtitles available from the release too.

Episode 9 is expected to be roughly 39 minutes long, consistent with the episodic lengths for the first season.

The chapter is titled “Isabel” and will give us a chance to learn more intimately about the character played by Elizabeth Perkins. This should give us an opportunity to learn significant details about Edgar’s death and the suggestive grey areas in their relationship. Feng’s arc showed there are some rough patches and it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the Minnow family.

How Many Episodes Will The Afterparty Season 2 Have?

Season 2 of The Afterparty was originally commissioned for 9 episodes but Apple have now announced episode 10 as well. So episode 9 is not the finale we thought it would be as we will have another chapter to close the saga.

What Happened In Episode 8?

Episode 8 of The Afterparty was not narrated by anyone. The structure of the episode rested on the premise where Aniq and Danner watch Kyler’s recorded footage from the weekend. Kyler is the rap social media and marketing intern Feng hired to promote his business. He sent over the videos and Feng insisted he watch it with them to give context to what they see. Meanwhile, Vivian tells her daughters about her affair with Ulysses, which is received with surprise but not angst.

It is revealed that Feng was having money problems. In fact, the truck he had just bought to expand his business was confiscated by his debtors on the rehearsal dinner night. His equation with Ulysses isn’t as bad as we had thought, although there still remains telling indifference between them. Feng wanted Edgar to invest money into his Baobing business but the millionaire was not convinced.

He was so unimpressed that Edgar told Feng to his face that the Baobings just did not taste good.

The episode had one huge black sheep: the apparent animosity between Edgar and Isabel, which points towards the former’s involvement in the murder.
