The Afterparty’s season 1 was a creative experiment that definitely caught everyone’s attention. The unique twist on the whodunit genre was one of Apple’s most unique television endeavours. Now in its second season, The Afterparty is an even more exciting offering that will definitely grab a lot of eyeballs. Some of the cast from season 1 returns, including Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, and Zoe Chao. 

The new season was supposed to release in the month of April. But due to some unforeseen circumstances and the WGA strike, the release of season 2 was postponed to July. But do not worry as the release is now going as per the new schedule with no interruptions!

Where can I watch The Afterparty Season 2?

The Afterparty is available to watch on Apple TV Plus platforms across the globe in the US, UK, and almost 60 other countries. Although it is mostly an exclusive platform, The Afterparty will also be available to stream on Roku with a slight delay owing to their partnership with the streamers. 

The Afterparty Season 2 Episode 3 Release Date

The Afterparty Season 2 Episode 3 will release on Wednesday 19th July at 12am (PT)/3am (ET).

The episode will become available to stream on all global Apple TV+ platforms simultaneously. The Afterparty will drop with subtitles available from the release too. Episode 3 will be in line with the standard timeframe and is expected to be roughly 34 minutes long, consistent with the episodic lengths for the first season. 

The third episode is titled “Travis” and will give us a chance to learn more intimately about the character played by Paul Walter Hauser. He is already an intriguing presence that stands out from the rest with his weird antics and beguiling charisma.

Season 2 of The Afterparty has been commissioned for 9 episodes, so we’ve got 6 more episodes after this one.

What happened in Episodes 1 & 2?

Season 2 of The Afterparty began with another murder. This time, the setting is Grace and Edgar’s wedding. The victim is the bridegroom, Edgar, played by Zachary Woods.

Aniq and Zoe, who are now together, are joined by Grace and Zoe’s parents, Vivian and Feng, Edgar’s mother Isabel and adopted sister Hannah, and Edgar’s swashbuckling business partner Sebastian. The first two episodes focused on the version of the events that night and leading up to them from the perspective of Aniq and Grace.

Aniq informed Detective Danner about the murder right after he learnt about it. Danner has quit the force and the rights to her book about the first murder have already been sold. She arrives at the beautiful vineyards and plays detective with Aniq to figure out the murder.
