The Accident (2024) – Season 1 Episode 6 Recap & Review

Episode 6

Episode 6 of The Accident begins with Lucia at the police station, wanting to see Alex. Instead, she finds her father who has been arrested for the death of the 3 kids. She is furious and runs off. Daniela tries to talk to her but she is upset and believes that her mother has been involved in the cover-up of the truth. Lucia runs home and takes some drugs.

Santos doubts Daniela as well but she clarifies that she did not know and is ready for whatever justice is served.

David calls Javier over and tells him everything. David begs him not to tell Emiliano that he was the one who told Charro the truth and Javier is furious. Charro calls Javier and David gets nervous.

At the same time, Daniela calls Javier that Emiliano has turned himself in and that he needs a lawyer. He arrives at Charro’s with Brenda and is surprised to see Mauricio as well. Well, Charro gathers everyone to take revenge on the Lobos. Javier is cautious as he claims he doesn’t know the whole story but he will represent Emiliano. Brenda is furious and threatens to end their marriage but he leaves.

Meanwhile, Paula finally returns to school. Her teacher is one of her believers and Fabian warns her to leave Paula alone. However, during class, Paula tells Rodri’s empty desk that the Virgin Mary will look after him and puts her drawing of him on his desk. This has the other kids laughing and teasing Paula.

Fabian is called to school and Paula says she wants to talk to her mother. He is unhappy as he complies and calls his ex, Roxana. He shares that while he had vowed never to contact her when she left him and Paula, their daughter needs her.

At the station, Alex watches as Emiliano is put in the next cell and he is shocked to learn that the man is responsible for Gabito’s death. When he is let out, he hurls insults at Emiliano before being dragged away. Charro warns Alex never to get in trouble again and the boy insists that Daniela chased him.

This has Charro believing that the Lobos are out to get them. Alex calls Lucia who insists that she didn’t know about Emiliano. He wants to believe her especially when she adds that she understands if he wants space from her. However, when she starts mentioning her problems, he cuts the call.

The news of Emiliano’s arrest gets out and Carla’s boss doesn’t want her anywhere near the story due to conflict of interest. She is adamant and insists that she is the best person to cover the story till the boss gives in. She rushes to the station and pretends to be sympathetic to Daniela.

But Daniela sees through her act and calls her out. Carla claims that she refused the assignment because of the conflict of interest but her boss insisted. Daniela simply walks off and Carla next sets her sight on Yola who arrives to confront Emiliano. Carla promises to pay her for an exclusive and Yola agrees. As they walk off, Peyote watches them as Charro tells him to kidnap Carla to get to David.

Inside, Daniela is on edge and feels like everyone is judging her. Fonseca tries to comfort her but her day is further ruined as the prosecutor assigned to Emiliano’s case is Ulises, the man Daniela had an affair with.

Meanwhile, Lupita calls David and begs him to leave with her as Charro will kill them. David refuses as he cannot leave his pregnant wife and Lupita is shocked at that revelation. Inside, Charro tells Alex about Lupita and David despite her begging him not to. Alex is disgusted and confronts Lupita.

He reminds her that he always took her side when Charro hurt her and she tries to reason that when David showed her some compassion, she had a lapse of judgment. However, Alex calls her out for dishonouring Gabito’s memory and claims that he now hates both her and Charro which has her upset.

As Alex mourns in his bed, Charro tells him to take all that anger he has against him, his mother and Emiliano and use it for something good – like getting revenge. Alex is hesitant as Charro suggests killing Lucia as she is innocent. But Charro manipulates him into believing that Lucia has always known of Emiliano being a murderer.

At the end of The Accident Episode 6, Javier tries to ease up Emiliano’s sentence. When Ulises scoffs in disgust, Emiliano accepts his mistake and asks for a full sentence with no bail.

The Episode Review

The Accident Episode 6 marks the second half of the show as the truth is revealed and Emiliano accepts his mistake. However, it doesn’t seem like the story will end there. There’s a whole new drama with Charro and his murderous intent as he plans to kill David and Lucia. Ulises is also brought into the mix and we doubt he has any intentions of letting Emiliano go easy as he still seems to have feelings for Daniela.

Alex, however, seems to be going on a completely different tangent from blaming his mother without trying to see her perspective to considering killing Lucia instead of trusting her. Sure, he is a teenager, but so far he has been pretty level-headed so his new arc feels a little out of character and more to fill the gaps in the following 4 episodes.
