Back at his tree, Lin tearfully thinks about Sun. As the family gathers on their way out, Sun drives up but Lin takes off running and Sun soon follows after greeting Lin’s mother. Finally getting to the bottom of Lin’s worries, Sun explains that he was helping his friend in exchange for her helping them with Madame Amaraporn. Allie, after all, has a woman she likes.
But Lin doesn’t want to hear it, taking off when his sister calls. Tracking everything, Lin’s Mom, who had called Sun, invites him to join them. As Lin’s father threatens Sun with the coconut knife, his grandfather intervenes, getting Sun to do the coconut beheading. After many tries, as it’s getting later, they ask Sun to stay the night. So, Lin’s father sends him to the sofa.
As Lin squirts mosquito spray on a sleeping Sun, he wakes and kisses him. They make up, Sun promising to tell him everything. Starting with a little TMI about their first date. But Lin tells him he doesn’t need such details.
The next morning, Lin’s upset when he sees that Sun has already left. At least that’s what his father suggests. They’re both surprised to see that Sun has put on a breakfast spread. Actually, he’d just helped Lin’s mother. He did, however, spend the night figuring out how to hack a coconut like a pro.
At the office, Pim is thrilled to hear that Prim will teach her after work. As she carries on about her crush, Yo can’t help but think of Sam. When he arrives home, he finds that Sam has been helping his mother with the restaurant. They argue about Sam pretending to be an intern and he confesses to liking Yo. Then Yo admits to liking him too but thinks they’re too different. Sam declares he’ll take the bus and eat at small restaurants – whatever Yo likes. They part with a quick chaste kiss.
That evening at Lin’s house, his father agrees to give Sun a chance but he’ll have eyes on him. While at the office, Prim teaches Pim to use digital drawing tools. Pim notes she wants to learn so she can help Prim with the designs she’d previously ruined. Luckily Prim’s design had auto-saved to the Cloud. But she’s still impressed with Pim’s progress.
Finally alone together, Lin is keen to hear what his grandfather told Sun earlier but it will have to keep until later. Continuing to chat, Lin mentions that he used to enjoy the water until he’d almost drowned. Someone saved him back then but no one knows who. They continue to chat, both confessing their love for each other for the first time. They share sweet kisses until Lin pushes him back into the house before they get caught.
Out in the evening for drinks, Pim panics when Prim smiles at her but she really wants to know why Prim used to be so mean to her. Prim just didn’t want to be close to her because although she’d been crushing on her, Pim had a boyfriend. Pim jumps up to kiss her but then, in shock, runs away.
To herself, Prim recalls her high school days when a young Pim had admired her work. Then in university, Prim agreed to help with orientation and meets Pim, impressed by her language skills. Sitting with her school friends, Lin and Yo, Pim receives a bouquet and accepts a boyfriend. A disappointed Prim watches the whole scene with her own flower in hand. Zip ahead to Soul, Juladis taps Prim to choose the interns and she recalls seeing Pim’s smile that first day of the internship.
At the office, Chan panics when Sun is late for the board meeting. Starting without him, the board complains about Sun to his mother who insists he’s tending to an emergency. They continue to worry about the number of things left in the air while he’s elsewhere with an intern.
Sleeping next to Sun, Lin again dreams of Sidarin, crying in his sleep.
The Episode Review
Only 3 episodes left and the romances are starting to solve themselves, with Lin and Sun making up, Yo and Sam confessing and Pim and Prim having a night out together. There’s a bit more detail to sort, but they’re on their way.
The most interestingly told piece is Prim’s history with Pim. So they go way back to high school, a few years apart in age but Prim had noticed Pim back then. While Pim has been obsessing about her at work, she hadn’t been aware that Prim knew exactly who she was and even selected her as an intern. So, once Pim stops freaking out, they may actually have a shot.
Sam and Yo have been push-and-pull for a while but finally, Yo invests in the relationship that Sam has been working toward so hard. With a little luck and script-writer goodwill, they could be dating by Episode 10.
And Sun seems to prove himself with Lin’s family, father excepted, and they’ve now ratcheted up to declaring I love yous. Other than that pesky little problem with the Board and Lin’s incessant disturbing dreams, it’s all moving along.
With all the craziness going on, what’s notable is that EVERY character has a same-sex romance going on, even Sun’s non-fiance. This is kind of typical of Thai BL dramas, where it becomes a bit unrealistic, removing it from the realm of real relationships. It doesn’t change the main story but I do think it’s over doing it a bit. Maybe I’m off here. As a reviewer, I’m after engaging stories that make sense. So while I love the links to dreams and other-worldly historical/mythological figures, the over-abundance of same-sex relationships seems a little unrealistic. Know what I mean? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Tell me I’m just being picky…
