Sullivan’s Crossing Season 1 Episode 2 Preview: Release Date, Time & Where To Watch

Sullivan’s Crossing Season 1 Episode 2

Sullivan’s Crossing is a Canadian drama show that debuted in the US on October 4, 2023. The series was first released on CTV back in March of this year. It stars Morgan Kohan, Tom Jackson, and Chad Michael Murray in central roles. The story is based on Robyn Carr’s novel of the same name and is set in rural Nova Scotia.

The events of Season 1 will revolve around Morgan’s character Maggie, an up-and-coming neurosurgeon who gets embroiled in a controversy that derails her professional career. Sullivan’s Crossing promises to be a serious-minded drama that revolves around themes of family dysfunction, abandonment, and the constant jostling of our species with questions about our identity and purpose.

The official tagline of the show reads: “After Neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan’s personal and professional life are thrown into turmoil, she returns home to Sullivan’s Crossing. While there, Maggie is forced to navigate her complicated present while confronting the painful past she has chosen to ignore for years.”

Here is everything you need to know about Sullivan’s Crossing Season 1 Episode 2, including its release date, time, and where you can watch this.

How Many Episodes Will Sullivan’s Crossing Have?

Sullivan’s Crossing Season 1 will run for a total of 10 episodes. So, after episode 2, we will have another 8 episodes to go that will follow a weekly release schedule, subject to any changes CW might make in between. We do not expect there to be any major scheduling interruptions, although the network might decide to go for doubleheaders for the mid-season finale.

What happened in Episode 1?

Episode 1 of Sullivan’s Crossing introduced the character of Dr. Maggie Sullivan, an up-and-coming neurosurgeon at the Boston Commonwealth Hospital. Her seemingly promising career is turned upside down when Dr. Bob Hollis, under whose practice she is learning the trade, gets arrested for malfeasance. Initially, Maggie is also taken but later released as Hollis bears all responsibility.

She returns to Sullivan’s Crossing in Nova Scotia, which was her home as a little girl. Maggie turned her back on the place after leaving, maintaining very little contact with her friends and family. The community is a tight-knit one and there are mixed reactions to her arrival. Frank and Edna, who work with her estranged father Sully at the lodge, are delighted to see her.

Maggie’s old friend, Sydney, greets her enthusiastically but harbors some resentment for her abandonment. Maggie is caught between two hard decisions – stay at Sullivan’s Crossing and find a way back to herself or go back to city life and focus on her career. The episode ends on a somber note for Maggie, who is told by her lawyer that she is being sued for medical negligence by a dead patient’s mother.
