Finding Ivy
When you begin Chapter 3 of Suicide Squad, head out the door. Hack will confirm there’s a pheromone tracker to find Ivy, which will increase in percentage depending on how close you get to Ivy’s location. Head on along to Centennial Park and, specifically, toward the broken part of the bridge marking Racine.
You’ll find the marker right on the ground, so drop down and press Square next to the glowing flower.
Unfortunately, a monstrous flower will protrude out the ground, leading to a “fun-size” Poison Ivy showing from its mouth. She doesn’t know Harley but intends to use these giant flowers to hit the aliens right where it’ll hurt them the most.
In order to do that, you’ll need to help the plant growth process. There are two markers, A and B.
When aliens show up, you’ll need to effectively defend both areas and make sure the aliens don’t destroy either by overwhelming the section. Zip over to both areas and keep an eye on A and B as they’ll be attacked in turn by troops. There’s a really good vantage spot to overlook everything, which you can find here:
Be sure to jump between the two areas and take out all the aliens at these locations. When the plant growth reaches near completion, be sure to take out all the aliens that march toward that area to prevent being corrupted. It should be quite straightforward but keep moving to avoid being hit too much.
After all this, Rick Flag will show up and take Ivy away, back to the Hall of Heroes.
Spyware and Warfare
With Ivy taken care of, it’s time to meet Hack over in Park Ridge.
Swing (or jump) on over and approach the giant Hack on the rooftop. In doing so, we’ll also unlock a new enemy to tackle – Suppression Troopers. These guys are really good at close-range combat so the idea here is to keep a distance and attack from afar. Deadshot’s rifle works an absolute treat against these guys.
Much like with Ivy, we’ll now have to take control of different areas and get rid of aliens (ie. Suppression Troops) in the process. This is basically a modified version of Capture The Flag.
To really get the advantage, hop aboard the vehicle and attack from the air. This way it will help take out the aliens far quicker than you otherwise would on the ground. Chances are, it won’t last forever and Brute enemies will come in with their own vehicles. Try to keep a distance and fight from afar with a good vantage point over everything to see where the enemies are spawning so you can get the jump on them quickly.
If you are struggling with this mission, switch out to Deadshot and use his guns as he’s the most overpowered character to use for this mission. Regardless of who you choose though, stick it out and destroy all the enemies and Hack will finish her work.
Ice 2 Meet u
From your current spot, head on over to marked location and be sure to press square when you do.
There will be enemies that show in the area so be sure to take out these guys over on the opposite side at Uptown Shopping Center. Prepare for more enemies to show when Rick Flag parks the Fortnite bus (okay it’s not but it is similar, right?) in front of you.
This time, you’ll need to grab the civilians just like before, so rescue the 4 dotted around the general area. You’ll be prompted to its general location via the markers on the screen which pop up with the yellowed letters.
Be careful not to get any of these civilians killed, and continue to take out the waves that show up.
Invasion of Privacy
When you’re done, be sure to open up your map to find your next objective, which you’ll find by returning to the Hall of Justice. Penguin is there working and he’ll decide that they can unlock new tech, which comes in the form of unlocking deep freeze, which will allow you to freeze the aliens.
As a reward, he’ll also hand over an ice weapon, which will differ depending on who you’re playing as.
When that’s done, speak to Hack, who will then guide you toward talking to Cash for extra tasks. You’ll find him by the front door.
These extra tasks come in the form of Care Packages, which will drop down and give you goodies after saving a certain number of civilians. The more you save out in the world, the better quality of the care packages. All you’ll need to do is check in with him each day to pick it up.
With all of this complete, head on outside and arrive at the marked location to test out your ice weapons. Hold R2 and you’ll be able to use an Affliction Strike, which will freeze enemies in their place. You’ll need to complete 5 of them here. It’s quite straightforward and after this tutorial, head on back to the Hall of Justice again.
Big Billionaire Hunt
Now it’s time to go and find Lex Luthor. Follow the heart-rate monitor on the mini-map, heading toward the radio tower and beyond. You should find your target on a rooftop. Approach the package and hit square.
Thankfully, Flash will show up and save you from this predicament with Luthor. Only, this is the Brainiac-controlled Flash and he’s not of sound mind.
When you gain control of your character, head on toward the Cannon, which you’ll notice has four rectangles of healthy. To begin with, take out the wave of enemies closest. Be wary of the Suppression Troop though, as there are a few on the platforms so you’ll need to fight these from afar.
After defeating the first wave, grab the Terminaut bits on the ground (glowing pink orbs) and then press Square when you approach the weak point.
If you hit it with enough Terminauts, the shield will disappear and you’ll need to pummel it with bullets to take down.
You’ll need to repeat this process three more times to take out the cannon, so keep defeating enemies, grabbing the Bits and taking out the weak points.
Shareholder Meeting / Breaking News
With the Cannon defeated, head on along to the Luther container and press Square to open it up. Luthor is inside but unfortunately Flash will kill him outright, ripping his heart out. As your character, keep moving around the Speed force when you gain control and keep killing the enemies as they appear.
Kill enough enemies and another cutscene will see Wonder Woman appear and turn the tide of battle. The only solution is to kill The Flash but Diana refuses to do so.
After appearing out the shipping container, wander through the Daily Planet and you’ll find Lois Lane on the monitors, calling these supervillains… heroes? Anyway, approach the office and wander through to the balcony.
In doing so Waller will task all of you to return to the Hall of Justice. Waller will not be happy that Luthor has been killed. However, a kid called the Toymaker will show up and Waller will decide that he wants his help in capturing The Flash.
This Resonates
Exit the Hall of Justice and head for the marked location in the middle of the street. You’ll now need to collect 14 Data Shards so go ahead and start killing the enemies that show up.
These enemies will then drop the Data Shards which you can, in turn, head over to the Truck and deposit inside. When you collect 14, you’ll have 10 seconds to stay within the shielded area inside the truck.
When the truck moves, go ahead and scoot over and do the same thing again, this time with 18 shards to gather. After, you’ll unlock the Speed Force Decoupler, which will disrupt The Flash’s Speed Force, which is super handy. Oh, and also fast travel back to the Hall of Justice too. Given how many times we zip back and forth to that place in this game, that’s certainly a godsend!
Flash Must Die
Our main mission here though comes in the form of a big mission against Flash. You’ll find this on the west side of your map (marked below).
Head on over there now and The Flash will take the bait when you antagonize him on camera.
Boss Fight – The Flash |
||
To defeat the Flash, follow him around the arena, being sure to shoot at his spot so he blinks out of view and appears somewhere else. Now, you’ll need to counter his moves to recharge your Decoupler, which you can do with L2 and R1. When your Decoupler is charged, you’ll need to aim for The Flash and fire while he’s charging up one of his big attacks. He’ll zip around a lot so you’ll need to keep moving but when he stops and looks set to hit you with a Kamehameha (well, not really but it does look similar right?) shoot The Flash. You’ll only be able to get one or two shots off at a time though. With one bar of HP gone, The Flash will hurl a giant tornado at you. When he does, be sure to hop up onto the buildings and head around to get the jump on him. The tornadoes will track you so keep moving to get the jump on him, recharging your Speedforce as you do. With one bar left, The Flash will switch things up again and along with Speedforce tornadoes, he’ll also start hitting proximity blasts, which will explode and damage you badly if you’re too close. Be sure to back off until they explode. Then, head on in and you’ll be able to recharge your shields. Finally, move over to The Flash and hit the killing blow with a well-aimed headshot, killing the first of the Justice League. |
With The Flash killed, Green Lantern will show up and prompt the Suicide Squad to run away. Only, they don’t so much as run as they end up in the ruinous wasteland of Metropolis
