Connections & Second Chances

The team have a follow-up meeting about the Lively+ campaign. Fjord seems okay with the plan but Jeng suggests changing the tagline. Chot suggests they shoot a promotion during the fitting day at Baan Jay.

The office has a party, and there are lots of food around. Pat tastes shrimp nuggets made by Jeng and seems to like it at first until he tastes celery and spits the food out. Jeng seems to have lost his thoughts when Pat dislikes his food. He does not hear Toh ask about the recipe, and he accidentally raises his voice but apologizes. He enquires from Toh why Pat did not like the nugget. Later that evening, Jeng gets cooking. He tries different recipes for the shrimp nugget and asks Jaab to taste them.

Next, Chot and Pat brainstorm ideas for the promotion at the office. They work overtime trying to create the script for the promotion. Later, Pat was to have a meeting with his friend Kong. They knew each other when Pat was in America. Chot helps Pat straighten his hair. Kong cancels the dinner.

On his way home, Pat meets with Jeng at the elevator, and he invites Pat to have a meal together. While having the meal, Jeng takes the opportunity to ask Pat why he did not like his shrimp nuggets. Jeng compliments Pat for having great taste buds since he is the only one who has tasted the celery.

During the promotion shoot, Put puts Pat in an awkward position when he tells Jen to ask Pat what he likes to drink. Pat gets annoyed and asks Put to respect his work since he does not want his colleagues to misunderstand him.

Kong and Pat go for dinner together. Pat realizes that Kong is trying to recruit him to join his MLM team, and he pretends he has some work to do at the office. Kong follows, and when Put calls, he pretends it is the boss. Put understands Pat needs help, and he plays along. Put uses the chance to ask Put out to dinner as a thank you.

Jeng approves the promotional material shot at the fitting. Pat plans to buy a new chair since the one he has gives him backache , and Jeng offers to go with him since he needs to buy furniture for the restaurant. The assistant comes in to tell Pat that someone is looking for him. That person is Kong.

Pat does not like that he has come to his workplace. Kong asks to see Ying, who is hiding from him. She begs Pat not to tell Kong that she is in the office. Chot saves Pat away from Kong’s pitch. Jeng notices that Kong makes Pat uncomfortable. Jaab goes home to talk to his mom. He has been feeling down lately since he is heartbroken about Jen.

Pat gets the furniture buying date with Jeng. Jeng picks him up from his place. Jeng also seems concerned about his look and nervous. At the furniture shop, Jeng and Pat go around choosing utensils for the restaurant and finally pick a chair for Pat. Jeng takes Pat back home, and Pat invites him to eat together.

Put calls to ask Pat out for dinner the following evening. Pat agrees to dinner. Pat takes photos of their meal and posts them on his stories. Pat and Put open up about their past relationship, and Pat asks Put not to disappear from the shoot as he had disappeared from Pat’s life. Put explains that he left because he needed time to accept his feelings. He says he is now ready and asks Pat for a second chance.

Kong sees the story and the location. He goes uninvited to the hotel and disrupts their meal time. Pat opens up to Kong honestly and tells him he is not interested in joining his MLM team. He tells Kong not to approach again and also not to go near Ying as his methods are scary. Jeng had earlier advised Pat to speak up if he felt uncomfortable and that he should speak up and say no.

After the meal, Put opens up about being scared that Pat has changed a lot and is afraid he will reject him. He still asks Pat to give him another chance and offers him sharky. Pat accepts the doll.

The Episode Review

The team in the digital department seems more at ease and close-knit. Jeng seems true to his word about working to bring the team together. Jeng always subconsciously has his eyes on Pat, and he notices everything about him. He is also concerned about what Pat thinks of his food and goes into a trial mood that evening.

On the furniture buying date, they both seem free and comfortable with each other. Jeng is a different person when with Pat; he even indulges in Pat’s comedic acts pretending the display carrot is hot. Pat mentions something that seems very crucial to the plot. He says Jeng is slow when he does not immediately let go of the “hot carrot,” Jeng responds that he feels things slowly.

The second half of the episode is full of Jeng and Pat’s sweet moments. They are both still unknowingly getting closer, which is amazing to watch. Does Pat accepting the doll mean he has said yes to giving Put another chance?
