Meet Up With The Crew

Star Wars: Outlaws is heavy on stealth and that’s perhaps fitting for the aptly titled chapter, “Outlaws”. From your starting position, follow Nix to the left, through the alleyway. When you reach a dumpster, jump up to hang across the ledges on the wall.

After dropping down on the rooftop, turn around 180 degrees and jump over the rooftops.

Be sure to use your grapple when prompted; drop down on the other side of the gap then squeeze between the pipes. Head up the stairs and on the right, you’ll find a little credits pick-up for Nix. This is the only deviation on this path so just keep on going straight.

Break Into The Mansion – Platforming

After the cutscene, you’ll gain 1x Quest Item: Password Override. Travel east and squeeze through the gap in the ledge. Follow the linear path and when able to, climb up the wall.

Keep following the path around, platforming all the way until you enter the mansion.

Break Into The Mansion – Stealth

And here comes the stealth section; in this area, the idea is to evade all the guards and break in without alerting any of them, or silently take them all down. Given upgrades and extra abilities (not to mention achievements) are directly tied to taking out guards and stealth, it’s advisory to go the takedown route.

This is made considerably easier by Nix’s abilities. Hold the Up directional button on the D-pad and you’ll be able to highlight nearby soldiers. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock and haven’t played a game in the past 15 years, you can also use tall grass to crouch in. Furthermore, you can whistle to get an enemy’s attention.

Move through the area, defeating the guards one by one, and in doing so, you’ll likely unlock some new abilities. Now, abilities can be unlocked through completing objectives in-game (as mentioned above). There are several different ones here, with Fast-Talk (pictured below) unlocked by defeating enemies with melee and with 3 of them courtesy of a takedown on distracted enemies. This incentivizes you to use a variety of different skills in combat.

When you’re done, head into the mansion via the open doorway. Use Nix to grab the item on the table and then activate the door panel.

Break Into The Vault

Once inside, stay crouched and head left. Watch out for the Energy Barrier and continue through to the end of the room. Press R3 to examine the area, and via the pulse that ensues after, approach the wall terminal and open up the door. Switch the lever, then return to the Energy Barrier. With it gone, stay crouched and circle around, being sure to avoid the cameras.

One sure-fire way to do this is by using our walking Deus ex machina device, Nix. Holding L2, you can distract the camera, allowing Kay to head past and enter different areas. In this example, have Nix on the far left or right of the corridor, then whilst distracted, sneak past the camera.

Wait for the second guard to leave in this next section, face the stairwell and take the guard that remains down. Follow the second guard up and Take Down that guard too. Be careful though as this area actually has an alarm that’ll trigger other guards to show up and cause a nuisance if you’re spotted. If you are spotted, quickly shoot the guard dead. The cameras won’t be alerted to noise either so you should be in the clear. It’s just beyond the camera on the left:

You can use Nix to disable it, before using it to distract the camera so you can sneak round. At the end of the corridor, turn right and in the next area, take out the guards here too. There’s a lever in the south east area of the room, tucked away in a storage area (pictured below), and just to the right of the little bar area. Open the door to access that section and then press the lever down.

With the barrier shut down, head all the way back to the main stairwell. This time, go forward and enter the elevator. On this next floor, you’ll be public enemy number 1. Kill the guard right in front of you and then turn back whence you came and take the path going north west.

Halfway up the corridor, you’ll find a doorway off the main pathway. Enter, and after collecting the gear, use your Datasiike on the door at the end. Kill the guard and then access the computer.

There’s another minigame here, and your goal is to try and figure out the correct combination in four tries or less. If the symbol is marked with a red cross, those are not in the sequence. Yellow means they are in the sequence but in a different spot, while blue means it’s in the correct spot of the sequence. So basically Ubisoft Wordle, but with less guesses and only 3 codes. And surprisingly not a prompt to pay real cash to bypass.

After hacking in and turning off security, leave the doorway and turn left to face the vault.

At the end of the corridor, approach the vault and trigger a cutscene. Approach the console and use your Password Override.

Escape the Mansion

Head out the vault, turn left at the end of the corridor (where two guards are shooting at you) and take a right through the doorway at the end of the passageway. Open the vent and head down.

Shoot the generator and when the fan blades stop, rush through. Follow the linear path around until you trigger another cutscene.

Steal the Ship

In order to complete this section, hold L2 to set Nix up and trigger a detonation on the large canister that those guards are just casually standing next to (pictured below). You can also just outright shoot it too if you’d prefer.

Inevitably a shootout will ensue after but there are a fair few cannisters you can blow up so defeating the guards should be easy enough. Head forward, enter the ship and then use R2 to trigger your guns and blast through the energy shield.

Hold forward on the analog stick and get ready for another cutscene to finish the mission.
