Spy x Family Code: White Plot Summary
Spy x Family Code: White is a new cinematic film based on the popular manga written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. In it, we follow the Forger family, comprised of Anya, Yor, and Loid. After several events occur between the three, Loid learns from his main contact, Handler, that Major Depple will replace him for WISE’s Operation Strix mission.
Simultaneously, at Eden Academy, Headmaster Henderson informs the class that he’ll be holding a cooking competition. He says whoever can make the finest meal for the academy’s principal may net themselves a Stella Star. After Anya informs Loid and Yor about this event, Loid suggests they visit the Frigis region since he knows the principal’s favorite dish “Meremere” originates from there.
What starts as a fun, winter-centric outing turns into an expedition of epic proportions. It’s up to Loid, Anya, and Yor to save the day, otherwise, the peace engulfing their world will end. Do they succeed?
Why is Yor worried about her relationship with Loid and how does she resolve things?
After meeting with Handler, Loid encounters Nightfall (Fiona Frost) and discusses Operation Strix with her. Suddenly, Fiona’s hat flies off but L0id successfully grabs it for her. Nearby, Yor’s chatting with her friends on her workplace’s rooftop. Her friends are rambling about cheating and the problems that arise from it. Then, Yor spots Loid and Fiona, and believes Loid is kissing her, making Yor feel somewhat jealous and concerned.
Yor’s co-worker Camilla adds more fuel to Yor’s worries by informing her about the three signs of cheating. During Yor, Loid, and Anya’s trip to Frigis, we see Yor contemplate her connection with Loid. Additionally, the three scenarios Camilla warned Yor about come to fruition while she’s spending time with Loid and Anya.
While in Frigis’s marketplace area, Yor and Loid visit a drink shop. Yor drinks a lot of alcohol and confronts Loid about him possibly cheating on her. This results in a physical yet comical altercation between them. Fortunately, Anya persuades Loid and Yor to ride on a Ferris Wheel, where they settle things maturely and somewhat romantically.
What persuades the Forgers to hunt for the “Meremere” ingredients?
While attending Frigis’s Rubble and Bond’s restaurant, Loid and his family order different meals, including the Meremere. Before Anya eats the delectable dessert, Colonel Snidel arrives and learns the Forgers ordered the final piece of Meremere. He demands the chef to hand the dessert to him, resulting in Snidel and Loid engaging in a sugar-guessing game for the meal.
Snidel prevails, eats the Meremere, and leaves. Loid ensures Anya they can order some Meremere tomorrow, but the chef tells them that he won’t have the Meremere’s cooking ingredients until Monday. Also, he says this is a family recipe and doesn’t want to share the recipe with strangers. Fortunately, Yor tells the chef that she and her family can gather the ingredients for the chef. The chef accepts that deal.
How do the Forgers get all the “Meremere” ingredients?
Loid, Yor, and Anya visit Frigis’s marketplace area. There, Loid swiftly visits each shop, purchasing every ingredient he can find. However, he learns that he’s missing two items. They’re called Orange Syrup and Cherry Liqueur. Loid obtains the former by participating in and conquering a shooting game booth, run by a nefarious owner.
As for the Cherry Liqeuer, Loid can’t seem to find it anywhere in Frigis. This persuades him to call Franky (his buddy). He asks Franky to gather this ingredient for him, though Franky isn’t interested. Loid returns to a hotel where Anya and Yor are residing. He informs them that he’ll be heading to another town to find the Cherry Liqueur. Also, he doesn’t want the two following him, which upsets Anya.
Anya heads to her room in tears. While Yor and Loid discuss things further, Anya reads Bond’s mind and learns of a plaza that offers the Cherry Liqueur. She refuses to tell Loid and Yor where it is because she doesn’t want them to know about her or Bond’s supernatural abilities. This entices Anya to leave the hotel with Bond to get the Cherry Liqueur.
Anya successfully retrieves the Cherry Liqueur from a plaza shop and holds onto the item to the film’s finale.
What’s Colonel Snidel’s microfilm plan and how does it involve Anya?
After visiting the Rubble and Bond’s restaurant, Colonel Snidel and his men arrive at their battleship. After shooting a traitor, Snidel reveals he wants to use the microfilm to cause a war between the West and East. Domitri and Luca, Snidel’s dimwitted lackeys, inform him that Anya consumed the microfilm, which Snidel cleverly stashed inside a small piece of chocolate.
Anya ate this delectable treat during her and her family’s train ride to Frigis. This infuriates Snidel and he orders Domitri, Luca, and his men to kidnap Anya. Domitri and Luca kidnap Anya seconds after she picks up the Cherry Liqueur from a Frigis Plaza shop. At the battleship, Snidel entrusts Domitri and Luca to persuade Anya to poop the microfilm out of her system.
Unfortunately for them, Anya refuses to excrete, resulting in Snidel telling Domitri and Luca to cut Anya’s stomach open. Sadly for Snidel, Anya escapes Domitri and Luca’s grasp, finds a hidden restroom, and poops. Snidel and Domitri capture Anya seconds later and bring her to Snidel again. Having learned she pooped, Snidel tells his men to leave Anya in his care.
He plans to cut her open because he believes the microfilm could be in her digestive tract still.
How do Loid and Yor reach Snidel’s ship and what happens when they do?
Firstly, Loid uses a vacant airplane to track Snidel’s battleship. He tells Yor to stay put, but Yor secretly catches a ride on his airplane. Eventually, Loid and Yor reach Snidel’s airship and Snidel has his men fire at Loid’s vehicle. Loid crash-lands his plane on their battleship. Then, he enters their battleship, defeats one of the guards, and uses that guard’s appearance to avoid detection and start investigating.
Meanwhile, Yor lands on the ship and finds a way inside. Snidel sends his cyborg-like ally Type F after Yor and orders his men to deal with the battleship’s fire problems that Yor caused. Eventually, Yor encounters Type F. Simultaneously, Loid learns Anya’s being held at the battleship’s bridge area. Also, he defeats Luca and Domitri during his venture to this location.
How do Loid and Yor defeat Snidel and Type F and do they save Anya?
Eventually, Loid meets with Snidel while in disguise. Anya learns he’s in the area and signals to Loid that she’s there. Snidel uncovers Loid’s trickery and he urges his men to fire at him. The two are at equal ends with each other. This entices Snidel to use poison gas on Loid. Fortunately, Anya breaks free from imprisonment and accidentally touches a panel that opens the battleship’s windows.
This allows the gas to clear. Also, it gives Loid a chance to put on a swift Snidel disguise. While the two bicker over who’s the real Snidel, Loid defeats Snidel, tricks Snidel’s minions into abandoning the ship, and saves Anya. Meanwhile, Yor struggles during her battle with Type F due to his metallic body. However, she develops a swift scheme to defeat him. She uses Loid’s lipstick gift and the battleship’s fires to blow Type F to smithereens.
How does Spy x Family Code: White end?
After Yor’s battle with Type F concludes, she regroups with Loid and Anya at the battleship’s bridge. Loid notices the battleship’s going to crash. Also, Loid knows the battleship will damage Frigis’s cityscape if he doesn’t do something. Fortunately, Yor and Anya lend Loid a hand at the battleship’s wheel. This allows the Forgers to steer the battleship toward one of Frigis’s lakes, resulting in no human or architectural losses.
Also, Loid learned that the microfilm was stuck between Anya’s teeth the entire time. Loid returns to Berlint to give Handler the microfilm. Handler tells him that Major Depple got removed from the Operation Strix mission because someone caught him having an affair. After that, Loid visits Anya and Yor at a fountain and reflects on his family’s future.
Then, the Forgers return home to help Anya prepare for the cooking competition. On competition day, Anya and Damian engage in some banter. Then, an explosion occurs in the competition area. Anya returns home, informing Yor and Loid that the cooking competition’s been delayed. Also, Anya says the vice principal will be the lead judge, meaning the Meremere dish won’t be a solid choice.
Loid tells Anya that he knows the vice principal loves cherry pudding. Additionally, he says the cherry pudding originates from a southern locale. He suggests they perform the same family getaway scheme as the Meremere one. Bond has a vision depicting the Forgers having fun on this warm outing. The film closes with a post-credits scene involving Franky arriving at Frigis with the Cherry Liqueur. And he’s not happy about it.
