Twinning Is Winning
In episode 6 of Spellbound, we see Cece and her classmates enjoying a Halloween party. The clip then cuts after a scream from Cece. Following this, we are transported to the past. Cece, as far as we can tell, is quite thrilled to celebrate Halloween with the rest of her class.
However, Aunt Ginger, Amy, and Lola are aware of the potential dangers of this Halloween. Cece is more likely to be attacked at night when a window of opportunity presents itself. Aunt Ginger warns Amy and Lola to keep a close check on Cece all night long during Halloween. Following that, Ginger visits a group of elderly Wizens.
The scene shifts to Adrian and his brother, where we see them getting ready to drain Cece’s magic during the Halloween time frame. Meanwhile, Cece is practicing dance and she seems excited about the Halloween party later that night. Cece then invites Adrian to the party. We understand that she’s clearly attracted to him. He agrees to go after closing the shop following which Cece leaves.
Cece spots Mia after walking into her school who is dressed much like her. As a consequence, the two young women feel let down. However, they end up going in different directions. The students soon find out that they are trapped within the school. To keep Cece safe, Amy and Lola have locked her inside the school. The youngsters are going to have an indoor party owing to this.
Everything at the party appears to be running smoothly. The gathering seems normal enough, but Cece notices something is off. She faints during the episode’s final minutes. Once she gains consciousness, the group learns that Mia is missing and the episode comes to a close.
The Episode Review
Cece celebrates one of her favourite holidays, Halloween, in episode 6 of Spellbound. But right before the celebration, she notices that Mia is also dressed like her. She is also going to stay under Lola and Amy’s watchful supervision during the dangerous evening.
The secrets of Halloween are the focus of this episode. It makes an effort to build suspense. Unfortunately, it doesn’t amount to much given that we’re not provided with any context beyond the fact that it’s an unsafe time. Similar to the previous episodes, this one fails to truly impress with anything particularly intriguing or entertaining.
