Sound! Euphonium Season 3
Sound! Euphonium Season 3 is a new sequel in the Sound! Euphonium series. This is set after the Ensemble Contest arc OVA that aired in 2023. In Season 3, we’ll continue following our protagonist Kumiko Oumae during her third year of school. After becoming her band’s president, Kumiko is determined to help Kitauji High School claim its long-awaited victory at nationals.

Sound! Euphonium Season 3 Episode 2 Release Date
The entire schedule for Sound! Euphonium Season 3 so far is as follows:
- Episode 2 – April 14th 2024
Episode 2 will be released on Sunday 14th April at 5pm (JST) / 8am (GMT) / 4am (ET) / 1am (PT). This is a weekend show, with 1 episode releasing each week on Sundays.
Expect episode 2 to be roughly 25 minutes long, which is consistent with the timeframe for the rest of the show.
Where Can I Watch Sound! Euphonium Season 3?
Sound! Euphonium Season 3 will air on Crunchyroll for global audiences like prior seasons. In Japan, it’ll be streaming on the NHK E-Tele Network that week before moving across to terrestrial TV. There, it will also be available to watch on networks like Abema TV, WOWOW, and others. Also, it’ll be available in Japan on streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, and Hulu.
How Many Episodes Will Sound! Euphonium Season 3 Have?
Sound! Euphonium Season 3 is expected to have 13 episodes. With that in mind, 11 episodes are remaining after this one. As long as the schedule doesn’t change, it should look something like this:

What Happened In Episode 1?
In Sound! Euphonium Season 3 Episode 1, Kumiko heads to school and encounters Hazuki, Midori, and Kousaka. Simultaneously, Kumiko informs the viewers that the club will have three executives this year. They are Kumiko (herself), Shuuichi, and Kousaka. Moreover, Kumiko reflects on the duties she, the vice president, and others must tackle.
After that, Kumiko holds a third-year meeting. During the meeting, she wants everyone in the room to get people interested in the music club. After some events occur regarding Kumiko and Michie, we see Kumiko, Hazuki, and Midori grabbing their equipment in the music room. During this situation, viewers get reintroduced to Mirei, Satsuki, Motomu, and Kanade.
Also, Hazuki announces that she and Ririka will be guiding the first years this year. Later, Kumiko, Kanade, and the others attend a Section Emergency Meeting to develop ways to attract more first-years to the club, specifically two more euphonium and bass players. Then, Kumiko meets with Shuuichi and Kousaka.
Shuuichi plans to hang up some club posters for advertisement purposes. He departs and Kousaka and Kumiko speak with Taki briefly about their recruiting efforts. Then, Kousaka and Kumiko walk home together and overhear a euphonium go off in the distance. After that, Tsubame informs Kumiko about four students who want to hear the bass section play.
Kumiko visits the bass section’s classroom and meets the four students in question named Suzume (Tsubame’s sister), Kaho, Yayoi, and Sari. After the four share their musical background or lack thereof with Kumiko and the others Midori intervenes. She promises to help the first-years learn the basics of concert band.
Later, we see Kousaka, Kanade, and the others in the main music room. They share a few remarks toward the students who are interested in joining. Then, Kumiko delivers a speech, highlighting the club’s policies and goals. She asks everyone to vote on their goal and everyone agrees on obtaining gold at nationals.
After that, Shuuichi, Kousaka, and Kumiko visit the main music clubroom at night. Kumiko wants to discuss team composition with them. Suddenly, she overhears the same euphonium noise in the distance and investigates. She then meets a girl who is seemingly a fan of hers. The episode closes with the girl introducing herself as Mayu Kuroe.
