Solo Leveling Season 1
Solo Leveling is a new action-adventure fantasy anime based on a popular webtoon. It takes place in a world where hunters explore dungeons to collect nifty rewards and battle dangerous beasts. At the center of our tale is Sung, who happens to be the weakest hunter in this universe. One day, he tackles a dungeon that’s too much for him to handle.
Before perishing, a log appears in front of him and asks him if he’d like to become the Player. If he chooses “no,” he’ll perish. Not wanting to die, Sung accepts the log’s terms. This kickstarts Sung’s journey to become the most powerful hunter of all time.

What Happened In Episode 3?
In Solo Leveling Season 1 Episode 3, two men named Woo and Kang confront Sung in his hospital room. They inform him about what happened after a guild recovered his body. Woo thinks Sung’s achieved a “second awakening” and has Sung place his hand on a mana detection machine to see if his theory’s correct. Unfortunately, Sung doesn’t produce significant results so Woo and Kang apologize to him and leave the hospital.
After they depart, Sung tampers with the log that popped up at the temple. With Jinah’s help, Sung learns it’s called the Player Development System and it wants him to complete a daily “Strength Training” quest. Sung ignores the quest and heads to sleep. Elsewhere, Chairman Go tasks Cha with a B-Rank raid instructor role and explains why she’s a good fit for the job. Back at the hospital, Sung receives a penalty for failing to complete his daily quest.
He gets transported to a desert and is forced into a squabble with a giant centipede. Fortunately, Sung prevails and this experience encourages him to take the system’s daily quests seriously. Meanwhile, someone asks Joohee if she can tackle a D-Rank raid somewhere, but she refuses. The person informs her about Sung’s condition, enticing Joohee to visit the hospital to check on him. During this time, Sung unveils what he’s learned about the system, its quests, and the rewards he can earn from completing them.
He returns to his room and receives a lootbox containing a key to an “instance dungeon.” Sung visits his mother and we learn she’s suffering from an eternal sleep disease called “Final Rest.” Then, we receive a montage of Sung completing more daily quests and reminiscing about past dungeon and work experiences. He visits the instance dungeon and uses his key to get inside. Sung defeats numerous goblins, giving him a confidence boost.
Then, a wolf-life creature arrives and crushes Sung’s morale. The episode closes with the creature getting ready to attack Sung.
