Skull Island – Season 1 Episode 5 Recap & Review

Doggone It

In episode 5 of Skull Island, we discover that Mike and Charlie accompany Annie into the field. Following that, Charlie discovers that Mike has a fever and has gotten hurt. Irene shoots Annie using a tranquillizer shortly after she and her dog walk towards the trap. The furious dog attacks everyone in an attempt to kill them, but a large bird arrives and catches it.

Charlie recognizes his father, but Mike makes a sacrifice and steps forward to protect Charlie. He approaches Cap outside and whispers to him, “Charlie is safe.” Cap notices Mike conversing with Irene while Annie is unconscious. He makes the assumption that something is off.

Charlie notices a person wearing a mask while he walks through the middle of the field. The bird appears and swoops in to take him away while he runs to avoid the mask-wearing man. Thereafter, he is dropped in an area shrouded in fog.

Following that, Charlie discovers himself inside a Stone Mason. At that point, he discovers the dog there as well. Given that Annie went with the bad guys, the dog is extremely sad. The dog agrees to be friends with Charlie, and the two of them come up with a strategy to leave. As soon as they both understand one another, the dog holds Charlie over his back and descends.

We finally witness King Kong’s terrifying arrival. Charlie first notices him when he seems sad and is searching for a necklace. He eventually leaves and discovers a smashed bridge. The sole pathway to leave the place is through it.

Guards are shouting as they witness something absurd. Outside the camp, Mike, Cap and Irene spot a large whale in the night sky. Meanwhile, the whale crashes into the Stone Mason. Kong consequently becomes furious. Then we see a massive tentacle inside the water.

During the final moments of Skull Island episode 5, we learn that Mike’s wound is getting worse.
