Firefly Lane is based on the best-selling book published back in 2008 called (unsurprisingly) Firefly Lane. Unlike this series though, the book is told in chronological order and follows the lives of Kate and Tully from childhood up to adulthood. There is also a second book in the series called “Fly Away.” which could lead to a season 2 renewal.

The age rating for Firefly Lane is set as an 18. There is drug use, swearing, sex and violence throughout the 10 episodes.
Who Are The Main Stars?
Katherine Heigl plays Tully Hart while Sarah Chalke plays Kate Mularkey. Ali Skovbye and Roan Curtis play their younger counterparts. There’s also a larger role for Ben Lawson as Johnny, who winds up as the love interest both girls get mixed up with.
