Yumi’s Cells is the latest webtoon from TVING, following the journey of Yumi, complete with a blend of animation, comedy and romance.

If you’ve been following this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled.

What is Yumi’s Cells Season 2 about?

Yumi’s Cells is back! Fresh from her break-up with Woong, Yumi is now navigating heartache while wrestling with new feelings for Bobby. With the Cells back and more animated than before, will Yumi allow herself to fall in love again? Or is she destined to have rotten luck in love?

Season 2 essentially dives into these questions, while simultaneously flirting with the idea of Yumi being independent and on her own too.

Has Yumi’s Cells been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, TVING have not renewed Yumi’s Cells for season 3. Given the ratings over the weeks, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up.

The ratings aren’t actually available to check but given how popular the first season is, and the ongoing success of the second season, it’ll be interesting to see what they are.

However, given most k-dramas wrap up their stories in a single season, it’s very rare to find these sort of shows renewed. Given this is adapted from a webtoon which has a definitive ending, we predict Yumi’s Cells will not be renewed.

We’ll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Most Korean dramas are reserved to one season and with the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.) then it seems unlikely that this one will be renewed.

However, there is always the possibility that the actors return for a follow-up. There would certainly be scope to expand should the creators decide to expand beyond the web comic. However, we don’t see this one being renewed.

  3. Yes pretty please have a season 3, I don’t care how long it takes, we need to have this drama renewed, I’d like to eventually see Yumi with kids, and see the kids with their own cells and everything! Please renew this drama continuously, I will continue to be a dedicated viewer!! <3

  5. Definitely a season 3 please! And, if possible the reunion and final marriage to Ba Bi. I have some ideas on how to build on that, taking into account Babi’s last shot on season 2. Season 3 please!!!!

  7. Please, please, please! I would love to see Yumi’s Cells 3. I’m sure there are others beside myself who would love to see Yumi happy with her career, friends, and completely in love with her husband at the end of the season.

    We can’t leave Yumi like this. She deserves a happy life.

  8. Yes, please have a season 3. Though I am curious with the new character and want to know him more. I still want Yu Ba Bi as Yumi’s partner/husband. Or at least see one of them in a happy relationship (Wung, Yumi and or Yu Ba Bi). Looking forward to it.
    Btw, the animation is good but if there could be more acting scene from the main characters that would be great as well. Thanks!

Me encanta esta serie realmente se merece una tercera temporada una donde ella decida si se enamora de otra persona o si perdona ya sea a wung o a yubabi o si decide tener un final feliz con una tercera persona, claro que Yumi merece ser feliz despues de haber pasado por tanto dolor que la hizo sentirse insegura de las personas que decìan amarla.

  13. Yumi’s Cell’s had a scene i thought, were Yumi en Wong end up together, but before she ends up with Wong, Yumi was sidetracked first with other relationships.

    It would be nice to see of course, how she would come together with Wong, or we would let the audience play it out in there own fantasy.
