Has Warrior Nun been renewed for Season 3? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

Warrior Nun was a surprise hit when it dropped back in 2020 and since then, the show has managed to do a great job carving a unique place for itself in the teen drama genre. After finishing all 8 episodes of season 2, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Warrior Nun Season 2 about?

Warrior Nun follows 19 year old Ava, who wakes up in the morgue after being given a second chance at life. Her new life comes at a cost though. She’s the fabled Warrior Nun, a formidable woman tasked with fighting powerful forces from both heaven and hell. Among those is Adriel, the formidable foe freed last season and who poses as the main antagonist this season.

The story picks up two months after that big cliffhanger. Ava is in hiding with Beatrice in Switzerland while the other sisters are spread out across Europe. Adriel’s influence is slowly starting to increase and as he takes control of Arq-Tech and turns formidable players like Kristian and Vincent to his cause. It’s up to Superion and the others to try and scrabble together and stop Adriel.

Could a fabled Crown of Thorns and a mysterious teen called Miguel hold the key to stopping this deadly foe?

We have extensive coverage of Warrior Nun across the site, including a full season review and recaps for every episode of season 2. You can find that HERE!

Has Warrior Nun been renewed for season 3?

At the time of writing, Warrior Nun has not been renewed for a third season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that could well change if it does good numbers for Netflix.

Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

So far, Warrior Nun has had a pretty decent reaction from audiences and critics, with the show already doing well to bring in viewers, especially those desperate to find out what happens next in this ongoing saga.

It really depends on how well season 2 does to retain viewers from season 1. Given Fate: Winx Saga was recently axed despite a successful first season, it’s unknown right now exactly how Warrior Nun will do this time around. However, we predict that this will be renewed for a third season.

This is the perfect sort of show to binge through and the audience is much bigger than that of Fate: Winx Saga. There’s so much more scope for the story to expand too, especially with the promise of a Holy War on the horizon.

We’ll be sure to update this section with accurate details over the coming weeks and months when we know more!

What we know about season 3 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 3 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel. However, there’s a very good case for another season to follow.

If this is renewed, expect Ava’s fate to be revealed in more details, including whether the portal jump was a success, and quite how Lilith plays into the upcoming Holy War that’s been teased.

As mentioned above, we predict that this will be renewed but we’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!
