If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this one’s been renewed or cancelled. Well, read ahead and we’ll let you know what we know so far about a renewal!
What is Two Summers about?
The plot begins thirty years back from our current timeline. A group of 20-somethings prepare for one last big vacation before serious life begins. When one of the girls is raped, and the incident itself filmed by one of the other boys, it causes a massive black cloud to descend over the group. Who is responsible? And why did they commit such a heinous crime?
One of the culprits from the incident, Peter, receives a blackmailed message from an unknown number, telling him to pay up in Bitcoin or the video will be leaked and spread.
This comes right on the eve of Romee and Peter hosting a party on that very same island from before, on a secluded, sun-soaked vista off the French Azure coast.
Inevitably, suspicions spread and as Peter recruits his motley gang of “trustworthy” men in on his blackmailed secret, he tries to learn who’s blackmailing them.

Has Two Summers been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Two Summers has not been renewed for a second season. Given the ending though, that’s perhaps not surprising.
Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate per episode. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars). Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.
So far, Two Summers has had a very mixed reception from critics and audiences. alike The ending is also pretty decisive too.
Based on the ending and reception, we’re predicting that Two Summers will not be renewed for a second season. Just to add weight to this too, the original series was aired on terrestrial TV before Netflix snapped up the rights.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel.
However, if the streaming giants do renew this one, there are a few different ways this could go. We could see the women change their minds, with Sofie wanting to press charges after all. We could see another murder, with a jealous Luk taking out Peter (despite seemingly making up in the final scenes of the season.) There could also be more secrets from the past yet to be uncovered too.
For now though, we’re under the impression that there will not be a season 2 but we will aim to update this page when more information becomes available.
