The Perfect Mother is a four-part Netflix crime drama, taking a simple premise and adding in a dollop of soapy melodrama and numerous flashbacks to the night in question.
If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this one’s been renewed or cancelled. Well, read ahead and we’ll let you know what we know so far about a renewal.
What is The Perfect Mother about?
The Perfect Mother is essentially a whodunit and whydunit combined together, centering on a high profile murder case.
At the forefront of this is Helene, who learns that her daughter Anya is the number 1 suspect. While Anya claims she didn’t kill Damien, all evidence seems to support that she did… at least to begin with.
When Helene teams up with a lawyer (and old flame) Vincent, the pair work to piece together exactly what happened that fateful night. But can Helene handle the truth? And is her daughter as innocent as she first perceived?

Has The Perfect Mother been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, The Perfect Mother has not been renewed for a second season. Given the ending though, that’s perhaps not surprising.
Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate per episode. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars). Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.
So far, The Perfect Mother has had a very mixed reception from critics and audiences. The ending is also pretty decisive, although there is wiggle room there incase, say, Anya decides to get up to old tricks again.
Based on the ending and reception, we’re predicting that The Perfect Mother will not be renewed for a second season. Just to add weight to this too, The Perfect Mother is an adaptation of a novel of the same name, and the ending does conclude in the same way as the book.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel.
However, if the streaming giants do renew this one, there are a few different ways this could go. Most notably, we could see Anya get back up to old tricks, blackmailing someone else into submission. This could then have Vincent and Helene teaming up once more and reigniting the angst with Matthias as a result.
For now though, we’re under the impression that there will not be a season 2 but we will aim to update this page when more information becomes available.

I wish there was a season 2 I really liked it I hate how it ended it needs more
Definitely a second season with anya getting the help she need for she is definitely going to kill again this could go on for awhile remember that other mother has the money and will end this. Can’t wait there will be another season. I’ll be waiting.
If u analyze last chapter there are 2-3 more chapters to record. She will keep on going doing same things back home and she has to pay. So make her mk mistakes and pay for killing a human being.
