What is Slow Horses about?
Slow Horses is finally back and season 3 looks set to pick things up in a big way for our characters. This time around, we’ve got a romantic liaison in Istanbul that threatens to expose a buried secret in MI5.
When Jackson Lamb and his team of misfits are dragged into the fight, they’re caught in a conspiracy that threatens the future of not just Slough House but also MI5 itself.

Has Slow Horses been renewed for season 4?
At the time of writing, AppleTV+ have confirmed there will be a season 4 for Slow Horses! Given the respectable viewing figures over the weeks, and the endearing quality of this show, that’s not surprising. Apple also have a very good record when it comes to renewing their shows.
We do know that season 4 will be based on the novels Real Tigers and Spook Street, continuing on with the espionage plot threads set up in season 3. You can read more about this over at Screenrant’s article.
It’s also worth noting at this point that viewers can look forward to a preview for next season at the end of the finale, so do be sure to stick around after the credits roll for that one!
What we know about season 4 so far:
Not much is known about season 4 at the time of writing, beyond the preview at the end of episode 6. For the sake of spoilers we won’t divulge that here but it would appear that season 4 is going to be adapting those aforementioned books and setting everything up for more drama and action to come.
The new season will air on September 4, 2024.
