What is Reginald the Vampire Season 1 about?

Based on Johnny Truant’s Fat Vampire novels, Reginald The Vampire turns traditional vampire tropes on its head. Newly turned Reginald crashes into a world full of beautiful and vain vampires. As a result, Reginald is forced to overcome new obstacles, including a bully boss, falling for a human girl and a vampire chieftain who wants him dead, to name a few.

However, Reginald discovers that he actually has some powers of his own…

Has Reginald the Vampire been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Reginald the Vampire has officially been renewed for a second season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that’s great news for fans of this one.

Despite Reginald the Vampire receiving a mixed reaction from audiences and critics alike, with some lamenting that this is nothing like the Fat Vampire novels, Syfy clearly have faith in this one and the reveal of this renewal is great news for fans.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Syfy have only just green-lit a sequel. We could see the story progress in any number of ways, with there likely to be another 10 episode structure as before.

Given the source material this is based on, we could see a more faithful adaptation to the books take place to try and entice people in, or a brand new charismatic antagonist too. For now though, it’s a little too early to tell!

  1. Just binge watched Reginald the Vampire, it was a light hearted refreshing look at the world of vampires and very enjoyable. I hope they do bring it back for a second series!!

Wasn’t expecting much when my husband and I sat down to watch the first episode of Reginald the Vampie, how wrong we were, absolutely loved it, binge watched the whole of season 1 over 2 evenings, there has to be more seasons, such a refreshing take on vampires and left wide open for at least a second season if not more.

  4. It’s taken me two days to watch season 1 of Reginald, it’s a refreshing twist to a vampire so hopefully there will be a season 2.

  5. Please renew for Season 2! It is a refreshing take on modern vampires- ups, downs, confusion with their existence and life in general. Really got into the first season. Will be disappointed if the series does not go on. Kudos to the writers!

  14. I’m surprised more don’t watch. The casting and story line works! I love it! There’s so much junk in TV, so I’m hoping this gets a chance with a second season.
