Prime Video India has announced a bunch of titles that are to be released on the platform in the upcoming year. After the immense success of the first two seasons of Panchayat, the show has finally returned with Season 3. With a prolific cast and a tight story, the show is enjoying a lot of popularity with the release of its newest season.
Now that the third season of Panchayat has aired completely, you may be wondering if this comedy drama has been renewed or cancelled. Well, wonder no more! Here’s what we know about a renewal:
What is Panchayat Season 3 about?
The show narrates the story of Abhishek Tripathi who works as the Secretary of Gram Panchayat in Phulera, a small village in Uttar Pradesh. After the death of Prahlad’s son, Abhishek, Pradhan and Vikas grow a close bond together. However, Mrs Dubey and Rinki learn that the legislator – MLA Chandrakishore Dubey had issued for Abhishek’s transfer. Pradhan tries to stop Abhishek’s impending transfer and ends up butting horns with the MLA as the two forces clash.

Has Panchayat been renewed for Season 4?
At the time of writing, Prime Video has not officially renewed Panchayat for Season 4. However, we can be sure that the show is going to return for a fourth season soon. We can expect TVF or Prime Video to announce the renewal of the comedy drama in the months to come given the popularity of the show.
The show is currently receiving favorable reviews online with an average IMDB rating of 8.9 on 10. With that being said, Episode 8 of Panchayat Season 3 ends with a cliffhanger, it could hint that the makers are already working on a follow-up season for the small-town comedy drama.
With this in mind, we predict that Panchayat is going to be renewed for Season 4. The makers of the show have revealed that Panchayat Season 4 is already in the works with four episodes already written. Moreover, we also know that the show is set to have two more seasons after this one.

What we know about Season 4 so far:
Barely anything is known about Season 4 right now given that the makers haven’t officially announced a renewal for this Prime Video Original. If the show is to be renewed based on the way things ended in the third season, we can expect an update on the Panchayat’s renewal in the months to come.
There’s certainly a lot of scope for this one to expand out and evolve though, and we could see Abhishek getting involved in the village politics as the Panchayat elections are around the corner. We can also expect to see if Abhishek stays back in Phulera if he is to pass his CAT Exams.
Moreover, with the cops and the BDO keen on finding the culprit behind the attack on Pradhan, a lot more twists can be expected in the upcoming season. However, since the show hasn’t officially been renewed, we can expect Prime Video to announce a follow-up season in the next few months. We’ll still be sure to update this section when we know more.
