Renewed Or Cancelled?
Our Blues is the latest weekend K-drama, one that takes a similar stance to Hometown Cha Cha Cha. Our destination is Jeju Island, where a whole bunch of inhabitants engage in romance and drama.
This 20 episode k-drama has been an intriguing watch over the weeks, but if you’ve been following this you may be wondering if this one’s been renewed or cancelled.
What is Our Blues Season 1 about?
Our Blues is the latest Saturday/Sunday K-drama, playing out as a slice of life drama. The series follows the story of multiple characters all living on Jeju Island and are interconnected through their romance and friendships.
Born on a small village on the island, Lee Dong-Seok (Lee Byun-Hung) sells various wares from his trucks but is not sophisticated. He has history with a woman named Seon-A (Shin Min-A), mistaking her friendship as a romance.
After moving away to the mainland for some time, Choi Han-Su (Cha Seung -Won) returns to his hometown. He meets his first love Jung Eun-Hui (Lee Jeung-Eun) who runs a fishing store on the island. Her friend Go Mi-Ran (Uhm Jung-Hwa) has also come back to island, fed up with the city life.
Lee Yeong-Ok (Han-Ji Min) has moved to Jeju Island and is a female diver. She is very bright and meets a ship captain Park Jeong-Jun (Kim Woo-Bin), who quickly falls in love with her.
There are other characters here too, but these are the main romances and friendships we follow across the run-time.

Has Our Blues been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, tvN have not renewed Our Blue for season 2. Given the respectable ratings over the weeks, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up.
The ratings began with a modest 7.3% nationwide but since then, has been increasing every week, with rates hovering at around 10% averagely. Episode 10 managed to achieve a 11.2% amidst a busy weekend line-up. Against such stiff competition, that’s pretty impressive.
Based on the fact this show is set up to be more episodic than a singular story, there is a possibility that Our Blues may be renewed. However, given most k-dramas wrap up their stories in a single season and with the exception of Yumi’s Cells and Tale of the Nine Tailed, it’s very rare to find these sort of shows renewed. Based on that, we predict Our Blues will not be renewed.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Most Korean dramas are reserved to one season and with the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.) then it seems unlikely that this one will be renewed.
However, there is always the possibility that the actors return for a follow-up or even a spin-off ala. the Reply series. Given the nature of this series, we could even see a whole different show focused on one or two couples instead – that’s certainly not outside the realm of possibility! We’ll have to wait and see if this one’s greenlit or not.

I truly love this drama so much that I’ve seen it more than once. And experiencing the same deep emotions from the first time. Pls give us the pleasure to watch the second season,with all the same characters. I also love the song With you,by BTS Jimin and Ha Sungwoon. Beautiful and very touching. I give this k- drama a Five stars.
I m late in watching Our Blues. But I truly enjoyed watching it . America doesn’t film thing like this show. The stories ,the acting ! The he little girl she was amazing . I really wish they’d make more of the same people in the show.! Another season yes please

Please make a season 2 of our blues
Of course we need a Season 2 of our Blues! The has got to be plenary more material to create a successful Season 2, even if for only 10 episodes. Wrap some things up that were kind of left hanging from Season 1.
I loved Our Blues, drawn especially to the relationship between Lee Byung Hun’s character and his mom. The series stands on its own. Season 2’s not necessary.
I really enjoyed Our Blues very much. The actors were wonderful and really brought the show to life. The different characters depicted do exist in real life, because I’ve met them! I would love to see a season 2…see how the characters & the town develop. Please have S2!!!
My husband and I have never watched a Korean show like this before but we both absolutely LOVE this show !!! We are looking sooooo forward to season 2 !!!! PLEASE RENEW !!!!!!
It was so good, so well written and acted. The characters are too special not to have a season 2. In fact i’d love it, if it continued indefinitely into a twice weekly soap. We need to see the Captain and his brothers’ relationships blossom and develop and maybe the old ladies remaining finding love and happiness. The domestic abuse needs to come to a conclusion, there’s so much left for everyone. I’m really sad to have got to the end, i’ve grown attached to all of the characters. They made an amazing team, as if it was real.
I haven’t cried like this for a long time – soulful and beautiful acting – Go Korea! You have captured my heart and imagination.
